WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from April 25
Intrigue and suspense are the best friends of professional wrestling and, thanks to the mystery that surrounds the feud between world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, WWE Creative established itself as the biggest winner from the April 25 episode of Raw.
The writing team has done a masterful job of creating interest in the highest profile feud in the company, leaving fans guessing as to Styles' allegiances. Is he his own man or have past friendships tainted his motivations? It is a question that has not yet been answered and the lack of a giant, obvious tell on the part of the creative staff has aroused the interest of the audience, something that has benefited the program tremendously.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Rather than forcing on the fans the same tired, one-dimensional title feud that it has for the last year or two, WWE Creative has given fans a layered story, one born in two Superstars' quest for championship gold and intensified by the old loyalties of the No. 1 contender.
The latest chapter will be written at Payback, a rare follow-up to WrestleMania with fresh matches and a title bout that has fans guessing, surmising and hypothesizing what will happen when the bell rings and Styles and Reigns wage war over the top prize in the industry.
WWE Creative can also be given credit for the following winners and chastised for the losers.
Winner: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
While it was interesting to see their match against The Usos run as long as it did, Anderson and Gallows looked incredibly strong as they essentially dominated Jimmy and Jey over the course of 14 minutes. The duo, formerly known as The Bullet Club, was put over without controversy and in the most decisive way imaginable.
That they looked as impressive as they did, holding the interest of the audience throughout, despite the match's lengthy run time, only serves to intensify the effectiveness of their first in-ring performance as a team in WWE.
Their continued involvement in the feud between Reigns and Styles, the emphasis for the physicality between the champion and his challenger, only helps strengthen their momentum ahead of Payback. How they figure into that night's main event, and whether we see any allegiances formed at that show, will determine how many times Gallows and Anderson find themselves achieving "winner" status in the weeks and months to come.
Loser: Emma
The Aussie competitor fought her way back onto the main roster via strong performances in NXT and looked to be on her way to a fairly important match with Becky Lynch. Monday night, though, her momentum was stunted by a clean loss to Natalya in fairly short order.
How can one be excited for a match between her and Lynch, whenever that may occur, when Emma is back to dropping short television matches, her importance de-emphasized by management?
The answer is "you cannot be."
Emma deserves better. She spent a year back in NXT, reminding fans and higher-ups why she is one of the elite in-ring performers in her field. Now, she earned her spot on Raw and SmackDown back but has found herself lost in the shuffle once more, no upward movement to speak of.
Winners: The Vaudevillains
Aiden English and Simon Gotch arrived to the main roster to great apathy, the fans not buying into their act in the same way they did Enzo Amore and Big Cass. But over the course of last Thursday's SmackDown and Monday's Raw, the duo has been given the opportunity to express themselves on the microphone. The results have been two very strong promos aimed at building excitement for the finals of the Tag Team No. 1 Contenders' Tournament.
English even dipped into his history Monday night, giving fans a taste of The Artiste gimmick that preceded his days as a tag team specialist as he sang for the masses in Hartford.
What could have been a disastrous start to a main roster run has been salvaged by two Superstars given the opportunity to get themselves over on the microphone. It remains to be seen if they can maintain the momentum built on the backs of those two promos, but for now it is a step in the right direction.
