IPL Results 2016: Latest Scores, Points Table, Schedule After April 24 Fixtures
Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rising Pune Supergiants by two wickets at MCA Stadium on Sunday to improve their standing at the top of the table, having now taken six points from their opening four matches.
The Supergiants set a target of 161 for victory as Ajinkya Rahane top-scored with 67 runs from 52 balls. However, KKR surpassed that amount with three balls remaining.
Suryakumar Yadav made 60 off 49 balls, while Yusuf Pathan also contributed with 36 runs for the visitors as Umesh Yadav hit the final runs.
Earlier in the day, Gujarat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore battled on a sun-baked wicket at Rajkot, and it was the hosts who claimed a six-wicket victory.
Bangalore set a target of 181 to win as Virat Kohli smashed a century and Lokesh Rahul hit 51 runs off only 35 balls, but it wasn't enough against a talented Lions team.
The Lions chased hard with openers Dwayne Smith and Brendan McCullum hitting 12 boundaries between them. It was left to Dwayne Bravo to smash the winning runs to haul his side over the line.

Gujarat Lions vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore
Gujarat, 182/4 (Karthik 50, Kulkarni 1-39) beat RCB, 180/2 (Kohli 100, Tambe 1-24) by 6 wickets.
Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first, and the decision looked a good one after Kohli took command of proceedings.
The masterful batsman was in top form as he hit 12 boundaries on his way to an unbeaten 100 from 63 balls.
Cricket writer Mohandas Menon gave a breakdown of the player's amazing IPL numbers:

Rahul added seven further boundaries on his way to a brilliant 51, helping Bangalore set a big total.
After the Lions' fast start courtesy of McCullum (42) and Smith (32), Dinesh Karthik took up the mantle and finished with 50 from 39 balls.
With the Lions needing 21 from the final 12 balls, Karthik helped get 14 from the penultimate over, leaving only seven to win.
A no ball and wide from Shane Watson gave the Lions only five runs to win, and the two mistakes contributed to the visitors' downfall.
Bravo came to the crease and hit his first ball to the boundary to seal the win.
Rising Pune Supergiants vs. Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata, 162-8 (Yadav 60, Perera 2-28) beat Rising Pune (Rahane 67, Yadav 1-16) by 2 wickets.
Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Supergiants, knowing full well they had a 100 percent record in the last three matches in which they chased.

Francois du Plessis was the first to be removed after being bowled by Al Hasan in the final ball of the third over. Meanwhile opening partner Rahane would go on to score a match-high 67 runs as Steve Smith hit 31 off 28 balls.
MS Dhoni finished the day not out as the team’s third-highest run-scorer with 23 from 12 balls.
At 111-3 in reply, the Knight Riders appeared to be cruising to victory. However, the Kolkata side suffered a dramatic slump and lost five wickets in 30 balls to put themselves in serious danger.
Suryakumar Yadav made a telling contribution of 60 runs, including six fours and two sixes before being dismissed in the 15th over. His exit left KKR on 119 for five.
The 161-run target looked a difficult figure to catch at that stage, according to cricket writer Ayaz Memon:
Former India international Aakash Chopa hailed the Knight Riders' resilience:
Eventually it was left to No. 9 and No. 10 to seal victory when Umesh smashed Thisara Perera over long-on as Supergiants fell to defeat for a fourth time this season.
