Comparing Luis Suarez's 2014/15 Stats to His 2015/16 Numbers
Luis Suarez has more yellow cards than goals in his past five games.
The forward scored twice against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, but those are his only strikes while he has accrued four yellow cards.
Suarez could have been sent off in both legs against Atletico Madrid, for kicking Juanfran and elbowing Diego Godin, and if he doesn't arrest his recent form and behaviour, he could be regressing into the player we knew before he came to Barcelona.

With four goals in his last 10 games, the only worse spell Suarez has suffered at the club was his first 10 games, in which he only scored two goals.

If it seems like we're being harsh on the Uruguayan hitman, it's only because he was the best striker on the planet until hitting this patch.
Suarez has done things this season that barely seemed possible, like his cyclone kick goal against Arsenal or his volley against Roma. On top of that, his overall goal record was outstanding too.
He had 41 goals from 37 games, although that has now become 45 from 47 games, which is still a quite spectacular run of form, equalling the heights of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Suarez has 26 goals in the Spanish top flight, five behind Real Madrid star Ronaldo. Suarez scores every 104 minutes, compared to Ronaldo's 96.
Messi, who missed two months of the season with a knee injury, has 23 goals and scores at a slightly better rate than Suarez, with 99 minutes separating his goals.
Until his recent slump, along with Barcelona’s overall team slump, Suarez had been building and building on his form.

Having started his Barcelona career in October 2014 after missing the first few months of the season on ban, he went on to net 25 goals in 43 games as Barcelona won the treble.
Most of those goals came in the final few months of the season, as he struggled with his position on the right until January before eventually swapping with Messi and the MSN trident hit their stride.
Suarez also created 21 assists last term, his presence turning the already dynamic Messi-Neymar duo into a three-pronged assault that few, if any teams could handle.
This season, his goalscoring has exploded, with 45 strikes and six games to go in all competitions—five in La Liga and then the Copa del Rey final.

He has 16 assists, which is a slight drop, but nothing to worry about as he’s now the man putting the ball in the back of the net instead of teeing up Neymar and Messi all the time.
Suarez’s job now is to reinvigorate himself and go on to help Barcelona win the league and cup. In recent weeks he has missed some huge chances, including two against Valencia on Sunday night.
The first saw him miss Jordi Alba’s cross by millimetres, and the second was a header from two yards which he put over—a harder chance than it sounds, but one that would have smashed into the back of the net earlier in the season.
Five more goals would see Suarez double his tally from last season—and go a long way to helping Barcelona lift a double of their own.
