Contenders
Lomcevak is one of the horses to watch heading into Keeneland, with three wins in six career starts.
A horse that can fly, he impressed Jay Privman of Daily Racing Form during his win at Fair Grounds at the end of March. He even beat out a horse that's also in the field at Keeneland, too:
However, most eyes are going to be on Swipe, a horse making his 2016 debut after undergoing surgery for a bone chip in his ankle.
Currently sitting in 26th in the Kentucky Derby points standings, Swipe has placed in each of his first seven career starts, though he's only won one.
In his last race, which was in October of 2015, Swipe was barely edged out of a win by Nyquist, a horse that's won all seven of his starts over the past two years and is one of the early favorites for the Kentucky Derby:
But there is another horse right behind Swipe in 27th of the Kentucky Derby points standings that will have something to say about Swipe's bid at a victory.
Collected has been strong this year, winning two of his first three races, including a win at the Sunland Park Festival of Racing Stakes on Mar. 20.
While his stats are impressive, it's his trainer who might draw many to take a chance on Collected. Bob Baffert, who already has two horses in the Kentucky Derby top 15 in Mor Spirit and Cupid, became a household name after last year.
Baffert was the man who trained American Pharoah, the 12th horse that won horse racing's Triple Crown and the first one since Affirmed in 1978.
With a win on Saturday, Swiped or Collected would be very close to breaking into the top 20, which would get them into the starting gates at the Kentucky Derby.
