Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Romelu Lukaku, Marquinhos Rumours
Everton have reportedly put a £65 million price tag on star striker Romelu Lukaku, alerting Manchester United, while Arsenal will rival the Red Devils for the services of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, who will assess his options during the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mirror's Simon Mullock, reports from Belgium say the Toffees are willing to give in to Lukaku's desire to leave the club, but he won't be leaving Goodison Park for anything less than an astronomical fee.
The Belgium international has made no secret of his desire to challenge for top honours, and he and his father recently hinted at a move, with United and Bayern Munich mentioned as possible destinations, via Sky Sports News HQ:

Per WhoScored.com, he has already found the target 18 times during the 2015-16 Premier League campaign, a fantastic return for a player who is still just 22 years old.
BreatheSport compared his career numbers to some other top forwards, and they stack up remarkably well:

Owen - 111

Everton would love to keep hold of their main attacking threat, and they've already shown admirable resilience in the transfer market in the past, keeping hold of John Stones despite persistent interest from Chelsea last summer.
But while Stones is a talented youngster whose valuation is built around his long-term potential, Lukaku is already an established attacking force with the kind of numbers that indicate he would find success at a bigger club.
Teams like United won't be afraid to pull the trigger on a deal for Lukaku, even if it costs them as much as £65 million.

The likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial may have shown they have the potential to reach his level in a few years, but that shouldn't stop the Red Devils from going after Lukaku, who could lead the attack next season while Rashford continues his development.
Former United star Louis Saha thinks the former Chelsea man would fit in nicely at Old Trafford, as he told RTBF (h/t ESPN FC's Mark Rodden):
"It's clear that he's among the players who are capable of going to play with the top clubs -- whether it's at Manchester United, who are definitely looking for a striker, or with a club in Spain.
All I hope is that he's able to blossom and grows as a talent.
At the moment, he's still a talent and what we want for him is to confirm it so that he might become a really great player.
"
The reported price tag of £65 million is steep, but for that, United would be investing in a young player who has no trouble finding the net and could still get so much better.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror's Simon Mullock reports Arsenal, United and Barcelona are all keeping an eye on Marquinhos, who was benched for PSG's UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester City and didn't like that decision one bit.

His replacement, David Luiz, made a mess of things in the PSG defence and got himself suspended for the return leg, so the Red Devils will likely have a first-hand look at their reported target when he starts for Les Parisiens at the Etihad Stadium.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
The 21-year-old has been among the best young defenders in the world since his days with AS Roma, but in Paris, he's been stuck behind compatriots Luiz and Thiago Silva, two big-money signings who have years of experience playing alongside each other with the national team.
Manager Laurent Blanc used Marquinhos as a right-back in the 2014-15 campaign, but the emergence of Serge Aurier has resulted in a sharp decrease in his playing time at that position.
PSG will do whatever they can to keep hold of Marquinhos, but it's easy to see why the youngster might be keen on a move. He's spent enough time waiting for opportunities in the French capital, and with so many clubs reportedly interested, he'll have plenty of options to choose from once the transfer window opens.
