Barcelona Transfer News: Arda Turan Receives Offer from China, Latest Rumours
Barcelona have reportedly received a multi-million euro offer from a Chinese Super League team for midfielder Arda Turan, while the agent of Alen Halilovic believes his client could join Valencia next season.
Turan has been linked with a move to China since the winter transfer window, with rumours intensifying to the point his agent talked to the press to deny any major offers were made for his client, per Mundo Deportivo (h/t Goal's David Manuca).

But just months later, the rumours are back. Catalan daily Sport claimed an unnamed Chinese club has offered the Turkey international a significant pay raise, and this time around, the 29-year-old is reportedly interested.
Turan joined the Blaugrana during the summer and became eligible to play in January, but so far, he's yet to live up to the lofty expectations. Per Dermot Corrigan of Unibet, his performance in the 2-1 Clasico loss against Real Madrid showed he's still adapting to Barcelona's intricate style of play:
The former Atletico Madrid man has a non-stop motor and is known for his impeccable work rate, but he's not a fine-tuned technician, and that has worked against him in Barcelona so far. While he hasn't been playing matches that long, he's had almost a full season of training to adapt―the fact he still hasn't is a worry.
That's not to say Barcelona have already given up on the Turk―per Sport, manager Luis Enrique would prefer to keep him in his squad for now, although the club is open to the idea of a sale.
It's easy to see why―as noted by La Liga blogger Rafael Hernandez, a sale of Turan could open the door for a big-money arrival:
Per Sky Sports' Guillem Balague, Barcelona sit right on the edge of the wage scale under UEFA's financial fair play regulations, and as a result, they can't make any major signings. Not only do top players require top transfer fees―they also expect to be paid big wages, something the Catalans can't afford right now.
Accepting a massive Chinese offer for Turan would open up the budget, allowing the club to chase a star player who could replace the Turk. Per La Liga's official website (h/t Ken Higgins of Sports News Ireland), Neymar recently urged the club to sign Juventus' Paul Pogba, and the Frenchman would certainly fit the bill.
It's hard to see Turan leaving the Camp Nou anytime soon, however. While he has struggled so far, he brings a different energy and much-needed versatility to the midfield, and he proved he's capable of great things during his time with Atletico, as you can see in the video below:
Turan was so eager to play for Barcelona, he even spent months on the sidelines, patiently waiting until he was eligible to be selected. It's hard to believe he would be ready to give up on his dream and move to China just a few months later.
Meanwhile, Zoran Stojadinovic, the agent of Halilovic, has responded to rumours his client could be plying his trade for Valencia next season.

Speaking to Gestiona Radio Valencia (h/t Sport), the representative opened the door for a move, revealing Los Che are being considered―along with another, unnamed club: "Valencia is an ideal club for the player. There are two perfect clubs for him."
The Croat has spent the 2015-16 season on loan with Sporting Gijon and has put his talent on full display, as you can see in this video:
The 19-year-old looks like a future star, but he's still a raw prospect who has battled inconsistency this season and doesn't look ready to make an impact for his parent club. Another loan seems likely, and this time, the Catalans are expected to pick a bigger, more ambitious club.
Valencia fit the mold, although the timing may be off. The 2015-16 season has been a poor one for Los Che, and the squad is in need of a major overhaul during the summer. With so much turnover expected and so much negativity plaguing the club right now, Valencia may not be the right place for the teenager.
Sport claim Sevilla are also an option, and the UEFA Europa League holders may be a better bet. The Andalusians did a nice job preparing Denis Suarez for Spain's top division and gradually increased his playing time, and in Halilovic, they'd find a player who could start from the moment he arrives.
