While talking about his selection into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this week, the Philadelphia 76ers legend recalled his iconic press conference. It was then that he revealed he was so edgy that day that he would have gone on a rant about practically anything—even lasagna.
The 40-year-old Iverson wishes he could take back the "practice" speech so people would remember him for his game—career per-game averages of 26.7 points and 6.2 assists—not his mouth.
Alas, he cannot.
It's fitting that as Iverson prepares to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame, we are still talkin' 'bout practice.
