Explaining Rare Sports Equinox Featuring MLB World Series, WNBA Finals on 2026 Schedule
Monday is quite the feast for avid sports fans. Call it a sports equinox of sorts.
As Steven Louis Goldstein of The Athletic wrote, "The sports equinox raises all that to another level—there are both World Series and WNBA Finals matchups, plus Monday Night Football, nine NBA games and three NHL contests all on the same night."
If you want to complete your own sports equinox, here are the games you can watch on national broadcasts:
| Event | League | Time (ET) | Watch |
| Los Angeles Kings at New York Rangers | NHL | 7 p.m. | NHL Network |
| Dallas Mavericks at Miami Heat | NBA | 7:30 p.m. | NBATV |
| Atlanta Dream at Golden State Valkyries | WNBA | 8 p.m. | USA, CNBC |
| Milwaukee Brewers at Tampa Bay Rays | MLB | 8 p.m. | Fox |
| Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles | NFL | 8:15 p.m. | ABC, ESPN |
| Golden State Warriors at Denver Nuggets | NBA | 10 p.m. | NBCSN |
Of course, you'll have nine NBA games and three NHL contests overall to choose from if you have NBA League Pass or ESPN+, so mix and match as you please.
Given that the MLB season wraps up in late October or early November, it's pretty rare to get NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB games all on the same night. Add the WNBA to the mix, and it's an even more uncommon sports cocktail.
That makes Monday a real feast for the eyes. So indulge, sports fans. Fill thy cup.
