Barclays Premier League Table: Updated 2016 EPL Review After Week 32 Results
Norwich City took a huge step towards Premier League survival with a dramatic 3-2 victory over fellow strugglers Newcastle United on a hugely entertaining Week 32.
The match looked to be heading for 2-2 stalemate after Newcastle forward Aleksandar Mitrovic twice pegged the Canaries back, but a 90th-minute winner from left-back Martin Olsson secured three crucial points for the hosts.
Rafa Benitez’s men now find themselves in a very bleak situation at the bottom of the table, with six points separating them and 17th-place Norwich.

Saturday Recap

Norwich City’s clash with Newcastle United was billed as a relegation six-pointer, and the nervy early exchanges showed that both sides were more than aware of the stakes.
The hosts were having the better of the play, though, and they took a deserved lead on the stroke of half time through defender Timm Klose.
Newcastle came out for the second half looking rejuvenated, and they were back on level terms with 20 minutes to go through Mitrovic.
Dieumerci Mbokani put Norwich back in front just three minutes later, before Mitrovic looked to have rescued a point for the Magpies in the dying embers of the game.
But Norwich and Olsson had other ideas. After soaking up plenty of Newcastle pressure, the left-back drilled home to send Carrow Road into raptures.
NBC Sports’ Joe Prince-Wright reported on the dramatic scenes, saying that the visitors didn’t deserve to lose the game:
Norwich City’s official Twitter account, however, wasn’t exactly in a sympathetic mood:
Canaries manager Alex Neil said after the game that he was happy with his team’s spirit yet conceded Norwich still have plenty of work to do—via BBC Sport:
"It was a strange game but we were the better team throughout. It looked as if we were going to fail to capitalise but that's the best way to win a game. We have great spirit here and we showed that in abundance. ... Lots to do yet. We have Crystal Palace and Sunderland to come which are as big as today was—if not bigger. But it's a good start.
"
The defeat leaves Newcastle six points adrift of safety with just seven games remaining, and their fixture list won’t exactly fill fans with confidence.
The Magpies travel to St Mary’s to face Southampton when the Premier League returns on April 9, while Norwich will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Palace are another side in desperate need of points to secure their Premier League status, and they impressively look one home from Upton Park on Saturday.
Damien Delaney put the Eagles ahead, before first-half goals from Manuel Lanzini and another stunning Dimitri Payet free-kick put West Ham in front.
It was the France midfielder’s second set-piece goal in a week, as bet365 revealed:
Hammers midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate was then controversially given his marching orders, and Dwight Gayle took full advantage of the man advantage to slam Palace level at 2-2.
Swansea City came from 2-0 down to also draw 2-2 at Stoke City, with Gylfi Sigurdsson once again on the scoresheet and Alberto Paloschi netting the vital equaliser.
In the early kick-off, Chelsea ran riot with a 4-0 victory an incredibly poor Aston Villa side, for which relegation looks all but guaranteed.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Pedro were both on the scoresheet, while Alexandre Pato netted a debut goal from the penalty spot.

Arsenal and Manchester City, meanwhile, kept up the pressure on Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur with routine 4-0 wins over Watford and Bournemouth.
Kevin De Bruyne returned to the Manchester City starting lineup for the first time since January, and he marked it with a well-taken goal in the first half. Fernando, Sergio Aguero and Aleksander Kolarov also found the net for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Leicester City can once again pull clear of their rivals if they find a way past Southampton on Sunday, while Manchester United will continue to knock on the top four door with a win over Everton.
As the season draws to a close, matches are getting bigger and bigger. The fights for Premier League survival and the title are heating up.
