Anthony Rendon Placed on 10-Day DL by Nationals with Toe Injury
Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon was placed on the disabled list Sunday, retroactive to Thursday, with a toe contusion.

The 27-year-old set career highs across the board, batting .301 with a .533 slugging percentage, hitting 25 home runs and driving in 100 runs. He ended up sixth in the National League MVP voting.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The Nationals' starting lineup remains loaded in 2018, with manager Dave Martinez able to call upon Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Trea Turner, Ryan Zimmerman and a returning Adam Eaton.
Regardless of the riches at Washington's disposal, Rendon remains an integral part of the roster. Not only does Rendon give the Nationals steady production in the heart of the order, he's also one of the best defensive third basemen in MLB.
Even a team as collectively strong as Washington is going to feel Rendon's absence if he's forced to miss many games.
