Champions League Matchday Two Preview

After returning to the group stages after the ending of Champions League qualification, Matchday One of the UEFA Champions League had several great matches, such as the AC Milan-Marseille match, which featured two goals by Fillppo Inzaghi, the Zurich-Real Madrid match, in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first two goals for Real Madrid in the Champions League, and Arsenal's incredible 3-2 comeback over Standard de Liege in which Thomas Vermaelen and Eduardo scored two late goals to give the Gunners the win, just to name a few.

In Matchday Two, there are several more great matches between some of the best club's in Europe, and here is a quick preview of each match in the second week of Champions League play.

Group E

Fiorentina v Liverpool

After losing 1-0 at the Stade Gerland, Fiorentina will be heading back to Italy against Liverpool.

Fiorentina will be without Alberto Gilardino in this match due to the start of his two match suspension from being dismissed against Lyon due to a stomp, while Liverpool will be trying to build off of a 1-0 win against Debreceni at Anfield during Matchday One, and will be looking to get another win in Italy.

Debrecen v Lyon

After getting three points at home against Fiorentina during Matchday One, Lyon will travel to Hungary to take on Debrecen. During the match, Lyon will be without striker Lisandro Lopez due to injury, while Debrecen will be looking to get their first ever win in the group stage in the Champions League at the Stadion Oláh Gábor Út.

Group F

Rubin Kazan v Inter Milan

After losing 3-1 to Dynamo Kiev in Matchday One, Rubin Kazan will host Inter Milan in the first ever Champions League group stage match at the Tsentralnyi Stadium. Inter will be heading into this match after a scoreless draw at the San Siro with defending champion FC Barcelona during Matchday One.

FC Barcelona v Dynamo Kiev

After a scoreless draw at the San Siro against Inter Milan, Barcelona will head back to the Camp Nou to take on Dynamo Kiev. Currently, Dynamo Kiev are the leaders of Group F after beating Rubin Kazan 3-1 during Matchday One, and they would love to have a repeat of their last performance at the Camp Nou in 1997, when they beat Barcelona 4-0.

Group G

Unirea Urziceni v VfB Stuttgart

After losing 2-0 to Sevilla during Matchday One, Urziceni will be heading back to Romania to the Stadionul Tinertului to take on Stuttgart. In Stuttgart's match in Matchday One, they conceded a late goal to Rangers at home, and will be traveling to Romania to get their Champions League goals back on track.

Rangers v Sevilla

After getting a late goal from Madjid Bougherra during Matchday One, Rangers will be heading back to Scotland to take on Sevilla. Sevilla got a 2-0 win over Urziceni during Matchday One, and will have history on their side as Rangers have not defeated a Spanish opponent at home in over 20 years.

Group H

Arsenal v Olympiacos

With a thrilling come-from-behind victory over Standard de Liege during Matchday One, Arsenal will head back to Arsenal Stadium in London to take on Olympiacos. However, due to a recent car crash on Sunday, Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner will miss the match.

Olympiacos won their first match on Matchday One over AZ Alkmaar with a late goal by Vassilis Torosidis, and will be trying to an important win if they are to advance onto the knockout stage.

AZ Alkmaar v Standard de Liege

In their first ever Champions League home match, AZ Alkmaar will host Standard de Liege. Both clubs lost heartbreakers during Matchday One, as Alkmaar lost their first match in Greece due to a late goal, and Standard de Liege lost after giving up to late goals to Arsenal.

Group A

Bayern Munich v Juventus

After a disappointing draw at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino with Bordeaux during Matchday One, Juventus will try to get back on track as they travel to the fußball Arena Münche to take on Bayern Munich. And the Italian side will have a slight advantage in Munich, as they are the last team to beat Bayern Munich in Germany.

Bayern Munich won on Matchday One over Maccabi Haifa in Israel to put them on top of the table for Group A.

Bordeaux v Maccabi Haifa

After getting a suprising draw in Italy against Juventus during Matchday One, Bordeaux will head home to the Stade Chaban-Delmas in France to take on Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. During the first ever Champions League match in Israel, Maccabi Haifa lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich, but they will be looking to get the win in France.

Group B

CSKA Moscow v Besiktas

In this match, CSKA Moscow will head back to the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow (the host stadium of the 2008 Champions League fina) after losing to Wolfsburg during Matchday One. Meanwhile, Besiktas will face off against the Russian side after losing a heartbreaking 1-0 match to Manchester United during Matchday One.

Manchester United v Wolfsburg

After scraping past Besiktas 1-0 in Turkey during Matchday One, the 2009 Champions League runner-ups will head back to Old Trafford in their first home match of the 2009-2010 Champions League campaign.

Meanwhile, defending Bundesliga champion Wolfsburg will be looking to get its first ever away victory in the Champions League after defeating CSKA Moscow 3-1 during Matchday One.

Group C

AC Milan v FC Zurich

With a win at the Stade Velodrome during Matchday One over Olympique Marseille, AC Milan have gotten off to a good start after missing the Champions League last season, and they now will travel to the San Siro to take on FC Zurich. During Matchday One, Zurich lost 5-2 to Real Madrid, but they will now look to get back on the right foot in Italy.

Real Madrid v Olympique Marseille

After defeating FC Zurich 5-2 in Switzerland on the power of two Cristiano Ronaldo goals in his Champions League debut on Matchday One, Real Madrid will head to the Bernabéu to take on Marseille.

Marseille will head into this match after a 2-1 loss at home to AC Milan during Matchday One, and will be looking to beat Real Madrid to start their uphill climb to get into the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Group D

APOEL v Chelsea

After a scoreless draw with Atletico Madrid in Madrid during Matchday One, APOEL will play their first ever home Champions League group stage match against English giant Chelsea.

Chelsea were able to beat FC Porto 1-0 on the power of a Nicolas Anelka goal at Stamford Bridge during Matchday One. This will be the first ever matchup between both of these sides.

FC Porto v Atletico Madrid

After losing 1-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge during Matchday One, Porto will head back to the Estadio do Dragao to take on Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid were held to a scoreless draw with APOEL during Matchday One, and they will be looking for revenge in this match after Porto eliminated them in last year's first knockout stage after being eliminated at the Dragao last year.
