The New Orleans Saints Off And Running Without Reggie Bush
It's a 3-0 start for the New Orleans Saints once again. Last time this was the case? The 2006 season! Yes, that season, the one when the Black and Gold were a game short of the Super Bowl.
Their offense is off and running but without the "star" of that year—Reggie Bush.
No, he is not listed as injured, but he is being used less and less.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Gone is Deuce McAllister, the bulldozing back that kept some pressure off of Reggie as he set records for his rookie season. Surely that will hurt the Saints in the long run, right?
As much as the fans still adore Mr. McAllister, they are quickly cheering many new names. Mike Bell, Lynell Hamilton, and Pierre Thomas have stepped in to keep the ball moving on the ground.
"Bring On Bell" sang to the tune of Anita Ward's "Ring My Bell" is the newest chant heard around the Crescent City. I know, he was inactive in Week Three due to a knee sprain. No problem. The Saints' offensive boys showed their diversity and depth while running all over the Buffalo Bills.
Reggie Bush had a few sparks this week, but coming up short on crucial third downs will keep you on the sidelines when you have Pierre Thomas scoring touchdowns.
Once again, Drew Brees and his offense got the job done. Before I go any further, I need to give props to the O-line. These guys are creating holes for the backs to capitalize on when running between the tackles.
Just in case some of you missed it, Zach Strief was not only declared an eligible tight end a few times, but when Jermon Bushrod went down with an ankle injury during the second half, Mr. Strief stepped right in to yet another slot without missing a beat.
More than a few times, Hamilton and Thomas snaked through the holes made by Jonathan Goodwin, Zach Strief, Matt Stinchcomb, and Carl Nicks.
It was the run and not the pass that secured the Saints' 27-7 victory over the Bills. The "Greatest Show on Turf" has to share the limelight, but Drew and the receiving corps have no problem with that.
The saying still holds true: Offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships. On that count, the Saints are poised to go all the way.
Their defense held Terrell Owens to zero catches for the day. That's right: the New Orleans Saints defense broke T.O.'s 185 consecutive games with a catch streak.
Looks like coach Gregg Williams got the attention of his former team, as well as captured the hearts of Saints' fans.
Nice team play, guys, and congratulations on a great win.
Just a thought: ...Deuce is still loose!
