Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Flies to Morocco Despite Alleged Real Madrid Ban
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly defied club president Florentino Perez once again, taking yet another trip to Morocco despite his alleged banned from flying to the country.
El Espanol (h/t Sport) reported the ban back in January, which came at a time the club and Ronaldo were struggling. And according to the Sport, the Portugal international took another trip to the African nation after Real's narrow 2-1 win over Las Palmas on Sunday.
Ronaldo took to Instagram to post this photo, revealing he didn't travel back to the Spanish capital with the rest of the team:

According to the Huffington Post (h/t Sport), it's not the first time Ronaldo has defied the supposed travel ban, as he took a trip to Morocco back in February. The circumstances of this latest trip are slightly different, however, as Morocco is actually much closer to Las Palmas than Madrid is.
Los Blancos only came away with three points at the weekend thanks to a last-minute goal from Casemiro. Las Palmas made life difficult on the visitors throughout the match, and they managed to do something no other La Liga club had done in almost a year, per bet365:
Ronaldo played arguably his worst match of the season, and it showed in the statistics, per AS' Mario de la Riva. He touched the ball just 28 times, the lowest amount he's ever had with the club in a match he started.
Per the article, it's but the latest poor showing in what has been a disappointing season:
"The glaring statistic from yesterday’s match is by no means an isolated incident of late. Before travelling to Gran Canaria, he recorded his meekest participation of the season on 21 February against Malaga (getting on the ball a mere 37 times), when Zidane’s side were blessed to come away with a point. Madrid also came away from their trip to Granada with fortunate result: the Portuguese’s fifth least impactful performance (41).
"
The 31-year-old is still scoring at an impressive rate, and his goal ratio in 2015-16 is actually the second-best of his Real career, per Sky Sports Statto:
But despite the frequent goals, there has been plenty of criticism. Even Ronaldo himself has admitted he and his team-mates lack consistency, which is likely to cost them the Spanish title this season, per Goal's Chris Davie.
With new manager Zinedine Zidane enjoying a solid, if unspectacular start to his tenure, Los Blancos are expected to be very busy in the upcoming transfer window to hand the Frenchman the player he desires.
Per ESPN FC, the club faces a transfer ban, though it has been temporarily lifted, so there's a good chance this summer may be the last time the club can buy and register any new players for a year.

Ronaldo is still a pivotal player, but given his age and the negative reports that have surfaced this summer, Los Blancos will at least be tempted to hear what interested clubs have to offer for the Portugal international. Perez has never been afraid to deal his players, and the two have been at odds in the past, per MailOnline's Pete Jenson.
If Perez did in fact forbid his star from flying to Morocco and he continues to ignore the president's orders, it will only add fuel to the rumours Ronaldo could be leaving the club. Per Guillem Balague of Sky Sports, he's reportedly interested in joining French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
