Wallaces Time To Shut Up The Nah Sayers
Hasselbeck will most likely be out for Sunday's game against the Bears because of a fractured rib it look's like Wallace may take the reins this week. Hasselbeck would be wise not to play to soon after a serious injury, if he does play we could see Wallace play the rest of the season. Morra, and Hasselbeck would be crazy to risk the rest of the season/career over a game or two. It is only the beginning of the season why play Russian roulette with Hasselbecks health and his future over a game or two? Twelve- thirteen games would still be their for Hasselbeck to play with a possible healed up rib, and Wallace is a great back up until he returns.
Why is Wallace a great back up? Because he is a smart player that does not phanic under pressure. He is a calm collective athlete that does not make many mistakes for Seattle to lose. 11 TDS 3 INT, and over 1,500 YDS in eight games with second to third string O player's should be arguement enough, double the stats for the whole season that is 22, 6, 3000. No one knows what Wallace could have done with first string players, but we may get a little sample this Sunday.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The problem with Wallace is he seems to give up when the going get's tough. Being behind seems to change him into a half ars quarterback that is lazy about coming back, or reclaiming the lead. Before pre-season began Wallace claimed he could be a first string QB in the NFL, in order for him to go from a second string QB to a first string he has to do more than manage a game. He has to make spectacular plays at times when it is needed. Another thing that Wallace will have to do is show better leadership in the game. If he is not energized on marching his team down the field then how does he expect the rest of the team to follow his lead on becoming a first string QB? This is the main reasons why Hasselbeck is the head honcho in Seattle and why Hasselbeck is so good, and why he is the first string QB... (Great leadership will have you win many games).
The good things that Wallace can provide that Hasselbeck cannot is better mobility in the pocket. Wallace has options of either throwing the ball, or running with it. Holmgren was very strict about his QBS staying in the pocket, and not taking risks (rushing), but I see another rusher on the field when Wallace is QB on the field. If Mora gave Wallace the freedom to rush more, than this could keep the defense on their toe's and have to keep an eye on the running game (even if Jones is not doing jack). If people do not think Wallace is not going to rush on Sunday than that is just plain crazy! (If Hasselbeck was given the freedom to run like he did then ya better believe Wallace will have even more freedom to do the same). Mora made a comment when asked why he allowed Hasselbeck to rush and try to score, and his reply was something like "Hasselbeck thought he could make a big play you cannot stop him from trying to make a big play". For once in Wallace's career we may see everything he can do on the field at quarterback if Mora gives him that freedom. The result of Wallace being able to rush and being able to fake his own run's would result in possibly being able make huge throw's down the field for big gain's and more importantly first down's: Example (Wallace finds no one open... all of the sudden he see's a whole and rushes for 12 YDS untouched, and out of bounds for a first down. The very next play he fakes like he is going to rush which bring's the LBS into the box and leaves a receiver or tight end open for a big play. If Wallace was used correctly he could drive Chicago's D crazy all game long by either rushing, or faking it, plus this may take some of the attention off of Jones or whoever to make the running game look even better than it could have been with out Wallace being a running threat as well.
