Henderson: Players Threw Shirts to Liverpool Fans to Thank Them for Support
Liverpool fans who made the trip from Merseyside to Birmingham on Sunday were rewarded in more ways than one.
While all got to witness the Reds' 6-0 thrashing of Aston Villa and one got up close and personal with Divock Origi, a few lucky members of the travelling support were fortunate enough to be gifted the playing shirts of their heroes.
And now captain Jordan Henderson has revealed that the squad gave up their shirts in a show of thanks to the fans who have supported them through a tough few weeks, reports James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.

Fenway Sports Group responded to the previous week's Anfield walkout over ticket prices by issuing an apology to supporters, and Henderson said a tumultuous fortnight had been in the players' minds at Villa Park.
He told the Liverpool Echo:
"I think over the last couple of weeks it has been a hard time and a frustrating time for the fans.
The players appreciate that. Thankfully everything (with the tickets) is sorted now.
The owners realised they made a mistake and changed it back and that is brilliant for the players because everyone can now just focus on winning games.
The fans have always been right behind us, so it was just a nice gesture to do with the shirts at the end.
