WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Undertaker, Michelle Beadle and More
Mystery surrounds WWE's WrestleMania plans for Undertaker, even after the latest round of rumors emerged.
One Superstar reportedly went to the company, pitching the idea of him taking on The Deadman. WWE didn't go for it. That leaves the situation unclear from the outside, with fans unsure of what officials are planning.
Other backstage reports shed light on Michelle Beadle's relationship with WWE, officials' reported interested in a star from Mexico and whether a pair of NXT stars are on their way up to the main roster.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It's a highly believable batch of rumors, but not one that creates a ton of clarity. In the cases of the NXT talents and the Undertaker situation, the newest information only adds more fog to an already foggy picture.
NXT Indecision
It sounds as if WWE's plans regarding two top NXT prospects remain in flux. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe would both make great additions to the main roster, but they are invaluable assets to the NXT brand.
That seems to have decision-makers unsure of what to do with them.
According to F4WOnline.com (h/t Wrestling Inc), WWE could call up Balor by the end of the year, although there are still plans to make him the face of NXT in the short term. There has reportedly been discussion of having Joe defeat Balor at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, but that's not a certainty.
This is essentially the same story we have been hearing for months.
Joe winning the NXT title at the next TakeOver special would likely delay his expected promotion. Balor retaining would point to him sticking around NXT for a while longer.
WWE can't lose either way. Both wrestlers would thrive as either the NXT centerpiece or the newest addition to the roster.
Backstage Word on Mended Bridge
ESPN's Beadle made news in the WWE world last year when she renounced her fandom, citing Triple H's support of Floyd Mayweather despite the latter's history of domestic violence as the catalyst.
It was surprising, then, to see her appear on Monday's Raw in the audience and later share a photo of her with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on Twitter:
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Vince McMahon may have been partly responsible for getting Beadle to change her mind:
"Sources close to the situation tell us the ESPN anchor received a call from Vince a few months back and the boss was extremely understanding about why she made the decision to stop watching.
...
We’re told Michelle accepted the invite to Raw last night though because she felt like enough time had passed and talking to the current world heavyweight champ was the right thing to do.
"
Her past connections to WWE include appearing as a celebrity guest on a Tribute to the Troops show and interviewing Brock Lesnar when he announced that he chose pro wrestling over MMA. She's a good fit as an ambassador for sports entertainment, much the way that Bill Simmons is.
This reconciliation was the required first step to her playing that role again in the future.
Eyes on AAA Star?
WWE isn't done raiding other companies for talent. After pulling in both AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura this year, the company reportedly wants to take a long look at a star from Mexico.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc), WWE is interested in picking up Humberto Garza III (Garza Jr) from Mexico's AAA promotion. He is reportedly expected to be invited to a future tryout camp.
Garza is a entertaining showboat with a high-energy style. He's got a good look and is a third-generation wrestler.
All that adds up to more than enough to get his foot in the door. WWE has increasingly become a globally representative company. It's not surprising in the least that officials would be scouting talents like Garza.
Potential Undertaker Opponent Gets Turned Down
Kevin Owens wants to battle Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. A large contingent of fans would love the idea, too. It appears, though, that WWE wants to go in another direction.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone) reported that Owens pitched the idea of him facing Undertaker at WrestleMania only to have WWE reject the proposed match.
With Owens winning the Intercontinental Championship on Monday night, it looks like WWE is indeed having him face someone other than The Deadman at The Show of Shows. Where does that leave Undertaker then?

There is not a better available option for his opponent on the big stage unless John Cena heals in time for the event.
Hopefully, Owens not getting the call here doesn't mean that Braun Strowman is instead. The big man is much too green for such a coveted bout. But it's hard to imagine what else WWE has in mind after it reportedly nixed the Owens idea.
