Jordan Spieth at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2016: Friday Leaderboard, Reaction
For a second straight day, Jordan Spieth put together a mediocre showing during Friday's second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Spieth followed up a first-round score of one under with a two-under Friday to drop to three under overall. At the time of his finish, he was in a tie for 37th place.
Here is the current leaderboard and Spieth's hole-by-hole results:
| Par | 4 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
| Score | 4 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
| Par | 5 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 |
| Score | 5 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 4 |
Friday was an uneventful day for the 22-year-old, which is not necessarily a good thing considering he isn't near the top of the leaderboard.
Starting on the back nine, Spieth stayed even by parring his first seven holes. His start tested DailyRoto.com's Drew Dinkmeyer's patience:
He finally got off the blocks with a birdie on 17 and added a second birdie three holes later on No. 2 thanks to some neat approach play.
But that was all Spieth was able to put together Friday. He went even on four par fives, missing great opportunities to build some momentum and string together some birdies.
Instead, he's dug himself into a considerable hole with two rounds left in the tournament. He's staring at a possible deficit of seven to eight strokes, or even more, which means he'll have to put together two solid outings just to get within distance of the leaderboard.
He's plenty confident that he can get back into this tournament, per ESPN's Jason Sobel:
With the way he's played over the past year, it wouldn't be impossible for Spieth to do so, but it will be difficult.
