National Anthem

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that the Super Bowl would begin with Lady Gaga singing the national anthem.
The over/under on how long the anthem will last has been set at two minutes, 20 seconds, according to Odds Shark.
However, Odds Shark noted that the average time over the past 10 Super Bowls has been one minute, 57 seconds.
In that span, Alicia Keys holds the longest mark at two minutes, 35 seconds, with Billy Joel completing the fastest rendition in one minute, thirty seconds.
Super Bowl Prediction

According to Pro-Football-Reference.com, teams favored in the Super Bowl by more than a field goal have lost the game outright on three of the last four occasions.
A larger sample size, however, tells us that's probably an aberration. The previous 28 times a team was favored by more than a field goal in the Super Bowl, that team went on to win 23 times.
Given the way the Panthers are cruising on offense—they've scored 80 points in their two playoff games—it's tough to pick against them.
But could there be a hangover effect after those blowout victories?
ESPN Stats & Info notes that only two teams have won the Super Bowl after such a dominant championship game performance:
"Panthers are 8th team in the Super Bowl era to win a conference championship game by at least 30 points.
— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) January 25, 2016"
2 of previous 7 won Super Bowl
Despite some of these historical stats indicating the Broncos should be taken more seriously, it's tough to justify them as a straight-up pick to win.
If Cam Newton and Jonathan Stewart can establish the running game early, the Panthers should cruise to victory.
Prediction: Panthers 31, Broncos 20
