NBA All-Star Game 2016: TV Schedule, Live Stream for Starting Rosters Reveal
Fans will finally learn whether or not their favorite player earned the honor of 2016 NBA All-Star starter on Thursday, as the league is set to reveal the lineups for both conferences after more than a month of fan voting.
The starting lineups are annual sources of heated debate, as the NBA's wealth of talented players does not fit neatly into two groups of five players from each conference. Some positions are more stacked than others, while the inherent biases in the voting can lead to undeserving players getting starting nods over better candidates.
The game itself takes place Sunday, February 14 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Here's how you can catch the big reveal for the exhibition, followed by the latest voting numbers.

The online polls came to a close Monday night, meaning fans had just four days after the latest NBA.com voting returns were released to move the numbers in their favorite player's favor.
Overzealous Los Angeles Lakers fans handing out legacy votes to Kobe Bryant is clearly the most absurd part of the process. The 37-year-old legend leads all players in voting and is line to make his 18th All-Star Game appearance despite posting the seventh-best player efficiency rating on a 9-35 basketball team.
It's truly a shame, because if the latest vote standings hold, it means Kawhi Leonard won't be starting the All-Star Game. Leonard has established himself as the best player on the 36-6 San Antonio Spurs, maintaining an elite level of defensive play while improving his offensive numbers year over year in most major statistical categories.
| 2014-15 | 64 | 31.8 | 16.5 | 47.9 | 34.9 | 80.2 | 7.2 | 2.5 | 2.3 | 22.0 |
| 2015-16 | 40 | 33.2 | 20.1 | 50.6 | 48.1 | 87.4 | 7.0 | 2.6 | 2.0 | 25.7 |
His game is truly sublime. But with Bryant gumming up the works, he's unlikely to beat out Golden State forward Draymond Green, who is a deserving candidate as one of the two best players on the league's best team, for the West's final frontcourt spot.
While plenty of fans will grumble at Bryant's presence in the game, it appears he is at least ready to put on a show.
Per Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears, Bryant has no intentions of taking his All-Star swan song lightly, in the same way Michael Jordan always wanted to play hard in the famous exhibition:
"One thing that Michael said was, ‘Just because it’s my last All-Star Game, I don’t want you to come out there going soft on me. I want you to play me how you would normally play me.' I was like, 'Mike, what do you know about me that would lead you to tell me that?' We both got a good laugh out of that.
The thing I remember most was the competition. Those are the things that I will always cherish. Hopefully, they will come out and compete as always this year. Those are the things I will always carry with me. Just true competition.
"
Social media campaigns became a big part of the final voting push, and none received more attention than the one backing Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.
Unbox Therapy creator Lewis Hilsenteger turned the Lowry campaign into an iPhone giveaway:
As ESPN.com's Adam Reisinger notes, the tweet got very popular very quickly, and might serve to counteract the campaigning of Lowry's former backer, pop star Justin Bieber, who threw his social media presence behind another point guard, albeit in the Western Conference:
"In the first seven minutes the new tweet was up, it got more than 8,000 retweets, possibly enough to make Lowry a starter for the second straight season.
Last year, Lowry was voted in by the fans, thanks in large part to a tweet from Justin Bieber that got more than 50,000 retweets. This year, however, Bieber put his Belieber Army to work for Chris Paul, much to the ire of his native Canadian fan base.
"
SI.com's Ben Golliver made the case for Lowry's inclusion in the starting lineup:
"Lowry, point guard for the No. 2 seed Raptors, is averaging a career-high 21 PPG, 6.4 APG and 5.1 RPG while posting a career-best 23.2 Player Efficiency Rating (PER) and a +7.2 Real Plus Minus (RPM), both of which lead the East guard group. That individual production has translated to team success: Toronto boasts the East’s second-best offense despite a host of injuries, and the Raptors’ offensive efficiency is 8.4 points better when the relentless and savvy Lowry is on the court. The East’s other top point guard candidates—John Wall, Reggie Jackson, and Isaiah Thomas—just can’t compete with Lowry’s combination of winning, influence, and total output.
"
Lowry will have to beat out Cleveland's Kyrie Irving to get the nod. Irving is hardly a deserving candidate, averaging 16.3 points and 3.8 assists in just 13 games played as of Wednesday evening. Dwyane Wade's vote total is out of reach for either of those players, but he too is a suspect starter, though he does boast a solid 20.55 PER.
Toronto is one of the top teams in the East and is hosting the All-Star Game. It would be quite the treat for the local fans in attendance during All-Star weekend to see their talismanic point guard get the recognition he deserves.
