B/R CFB Recruiting 200: Top 22 Defensive Tackles
After a thorough study using specific scoring criteria, Bleacher Report National Recruiting Analysts Damon Sayles, Sanjay Kirpalani and Tyler Donohue have graded the top 200 players in the 247Sports composite rankings and provided in-depth analysis on each young athlete. Bleacher Report will run a position-by-position breakdown series of the best college football recruits in the class of 2016. Here we present the Top Defensive Tackles.
Defensive coaches will tell you that their unit will go as far as a strong defensive line will take it. An elite defensive tackle can shut down a running game and make an offense one-dimensional. The 2016 recruiting class has quite a few of those types of players.
Here's our breakdown of America's top-ranked prospects at the position, including scores based on individual assessments of pass rushing, tackling, explosive strength, run defense, hands and overall motor.
All prospects are scouted by Bleacher Report National Recruiting Analyst Damon Sayles. Players are ordered by appearance in 247Sports' composite rankings.
22. 4-Star Cedric Wood
1 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 285 lbs
High School: Amos P. Godby High, Tallahassee, Florida
247Sports Ranking: No. 22 DT, No. 198 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 90/100
Enrolled at Florida State
Florida State didn't have to travel far to recruit a solid defensive lineman pledge in Tallahassee native Cedric Wood. As an early enrollee, look for Wood to compete for playing time early in his career.
At Amos P. Godby High School, Wood was a playmaker on the defensive line. Look for him to do the same at the college level, in front of family and friends residing in Tallahassee.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Wood has good size but also has a frame that can support 20-25 additional pounds. Florida State always values its run-stoppers on the defensive line, and Wood can be a key contributor to Jimbo Fisher's defensive scheme.
Wood plays with a high level of intensity and is someone who never backs away from a challenge. Look for him to test the upperclassmen as he prepares for spring workouts.
21. 4-Star Garrett Rand
2 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'1 ½", 261 lbs
High School: Hamilton High, Chandler, Arizona
247Sports Ranking: No. 21 DT, No. 184 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 90/100
Committed to Wisconsin on Oct. 1, 2015
Even though he may be considered slightly undersized for the position, Garrett Rand has proved on multiple occasions that he belongs among the chatter of the top defensive tackles in the 2016 class. The U.S. Army All-American has nearly a dozen reported offers but committed to Wisconsin in October.
Rand chose the Badgers over offers from UCLA, Michigan State, Stanford and in-state schools Arizona and Arizona State. There are high expectations for him in college.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Rand is viewed as a tweener, but one of the reasons why he is so popular with college coaches is his motor. He plays every snap as if he's on a mission. Rand also lines up in the trenches as a fearless competitor.
Rand is a strong blue-collar athlete who can be a solid bull-rusher and run-stopper at the next level. He plays with good leverage and uses his hands well to evade offensive linemen.
20. 4-Star Chris Daniels
3 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3 ½", 299 lbs
High School: Trinity High, Euless, Texas
247Sports Ranking: No. 20 DT, No. 183 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 90/100
Uncommitted: Considering Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M and TCU
To celebrate his 18th birthday, Chris Daniels recently gave himself a nice birthday present—a verbal commitment to Oklahoma. But shortly after, Daniels chose to reopen his process and now will chose from Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU and others.
Playing for a high school with a well-established reputation for producing stud offensive linemen, Daniels was able to hone his skills every day in practice and emerge as a standout defensive tackle. He finished his high school career with 30 reported offers.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Daniels is technically a 300-pounder, but he moves very well for a big guy. He has good lateral movement and an explosive first step off the snap. Daniels also plays with good pad level. He's able to win many battles against offensive linemen because of his technique.
Daniels is motivated to be a standout defender early in his college career. Look for him to fit in well in the defensive scheme of his choice.
19. 4-Star Ellison Jordan
4 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'0", 270 lbs
High School: Gilman School, Baltimore, Maryland
247Sports Ranking: No. 19 DT, No. 181 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 91/100
Committed to Penn State on June 26, 2015
He may not be the tallest defensive lineman, but Ellison Jordan is a football player. With 21 reported offers, Jordan is one of those athletes who quickly makes you forget his lack of height. His talents were recognized and supported at the Under Armour All-America Game.
Jordan committed to Penn State in June, choosing the Nittany Lions over offers from Maryland, Boston College, Michigan State and numerous other programs.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Jordan, at first glance, looks like a tweener, but there's a level of explosiveness that makes him an attractive get for Penn State. He's a strong athlete who also plays with a quick first step. He can be a buzzsaw in the trenches, disrupting running plays and the timing of passing plays.
Jordan plays with a motor and a level of physicality that may catch a larger offensive lineman off guard at first. He is fearless when he lines up in one-on-one situations. He'll show his fearlessness early and often at Penn State.
18. 4-Star Karamo Dioubate
5 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3", 279 lbs
High School: Prep Charter, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
247Sports Ranking: No. 18 DT, No. 167 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 91/100
Uncommitted: Considering Michigan State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Auburn and Temple
Penn State recently lost a big commitment in Karamo Dioubate, but the Nittany Lions' loss will be one lucky school's gain. Dioubate has 26 reported offers, and it looks as though his recruitment will come down to the final minutes.
Dioubate, a first-team all-state defensive lineman in Pennsylvania, can be a nice addition for a school, as he has a high ceiling for success at the next level. Because of his size and his ability to play either defensive tackle or defensive end—he's good enough to play either position—he is the proverbial mold of clay every college coach hopes to get.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Dioubate has the size of a hybrid defensive lineman, someone who can line up anywhere on the line depending on a program's need. He's a strong prospect who bullies offensive linemen in the trenches. He's also elusive enough to be a solid pass-rusher.
Dioubate has great pad level and lateral movement, which helps him cover a lot of field in run plays. Although his future most likely is on the defensive side of the ball, he's also versatile enough to play on the offensive line in case a school is in need of an athletic interior guy.
17. 4-Star Glen Logan
6 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 290 lbs
High School: Destrehan High, Destrehan, Louisiana
247Sports Ranking: No. 17 DT, No. 160 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 92/100
Committed to LSU on June 3, 2015
The state of Louisiana does a great job in recruiting and signing in-state players, and the Tigers scored big with Glen Logan back in June. Credit LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron for the Tigers landing Logan.
With 20 reported offers, Logan chose LSU over Miami, Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas and a host of other schools. Look for Logan to be a major part of LSU's run defense.
Bleacher Report Analysis
The ceiling is high for Logan, a deceptively quick athlete who has a nose for finding the football. Logan competes with a high motor and makes it a priority to be instrumental in every down.
Under the tutelage of the LSU coaching staff, Logan can be an all-conference sooner than anticipated. Long and physical, logan plays the game with a lot of passion and is on a mission to be successful.
16. 4-Star Quinnen Williams
7 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 265 lbs
High School: Wenonah School, Birmingham, Alabama
247Sports Ranking: No. 16 DT, No. 159 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 92/100
Committed to Alabama on June 30, 2015
An Alabama commit, Quinnen Williams is expected to be a solid, versatile lineman for coach Nick Saban and his staff. He chose Alabama during the summer over Auburn and Ole Miss.
A one-time Auburn commit, Williams gave his pledge to Alabama shortly after attending the program's inaugural 2015 summer camp.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Williams' strength allows him to be a solid run-stopper in the trenches. His length assists him in closing to quarterbacks and running backs. Williams has a high ceiling and could be a big name in the SEC in a couple of years.
Williams, additionally, plays with a high level of intensity. He has good size, and his frame can support additional weight, which will mesh well with his deceptive speed.
15. 4-Star Michail Carter
8 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 302 lbs
High School: Jackson High, Jackson, Georgia
247Sports Ranking: No. 15 DT, No. 118 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 92/100
Uncommitted: Considering Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Georgia Tech
With 30-plus reported offers, Michail Carter is a good-looking prospect who had the opportunity to show off his skills at the Under Armour All-America Game. Clemson, Auburn and Alabama are hoping to get him out of state. Georgia and Georgia Tech prefer to keep him close to home.
Georgia is hoping to have the advantage in Carter's recruitment, as the Bulldogs have his final official this weekend. The winning school will get a player who has become someone to watch in the last four or five months.
Bleacher Report Analysis
If anyone passes the eyeball test of a defensive tackle prospect, it's Carter. He has a great frame and a build that can add weight without any consequence. Carter has good footwork and lateral movement, and he can beat an offensive lineman using a power move or a finesse move.
Carter's strength and toughness are advantages on the football field. What makes him an intriguing prospect is his desire to get even better.
14. 4-Star Jordan Elliott
9 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3 ½", 306 lbs
High School: Westside High, Houston, Texas
247Sports Ranking: No. 14 DT, No. 115 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 93/100
Uncommitted: Considering Texas, USC and Baylor
All-star games are supposed to be showcase events for elite athletes. In some cases, they show that a player may be better than his ranking currently shows. Jordan Elliott is one of those athletes who may have further impressed coaches nationwide and fans at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
An athlete with 40 reported offers, Elliott recently decommitted from Michigan and now will choose out of offers from Texas, USC, Baylor and a host of other programs. He's looking to be an impact player early in his career wherever he ends up.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Elliott plays the game with a lot of confidence. He doesn't anticipate losing any one-on-one matchup. His strength and quickness match his confidence, as he's a 300-pound athlete who has run the 40-yard dash in 4.86 seconds.
Elliott has a great first step, and he uses good technique in the trenches to free himself from offensive linemen. He has great hands and feet, but playing the game with something to prove makes him even more dangerous to offenses.
13. 4-Star Boss Tagaloa
10 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3", 295 lbs
High School: De La Salle High, Concord, California
247Sports Ranking: No. 13 DT, No. 106 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 93/100
Uncommitted: Considering UCLA, Michigan, Washington, USC and Utah
If your first name is "Boss," you have to play like one. The first name—his real first name—fits for Boss Tagaloa, an athlete who plays every down as if it were his last.
Tagaloa showed his ability to hang with elite linemen at The Opening over the summer. He'll have his choice of where he wants to go to college as well, as he has 15 reported offers. The big question: Will Tagaloa stay on the West Coast with UCLA, USC or Washington, or will he head to the Midwest and join the Wolverines?
Bleacher Report Analysis
Tagaloa always finds a way to be in the middle of a play. His passion for the game and the high motor he brings to it make him an attractive prospect. He's an emotional player whose passion for success can become infectious.
Although not the tallest athlete, Tagaloa makes up for the lack of height with his football IQ. He also brings lateral movement and a lot of athleticism to the table, which helps him win one-on-one matchups against larger athletes.
12. 4-Star Kendell Jones Jr.
11 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'5", 375 lbs
High School: Shoemaker High, Killeen, Texas
247Sports Ranking: No. 12 DT, No. 93 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 93/100
Committed to Alabama on May 22, 2015
Alabama has been a program that produces quality defensive linemen, and Kendell Jones Jr. could be the next big thing—emphasis on "big." Nicknamed "Hulk," Jones is a massive athlete who wears 375 pounds as well as any athlete at any classification.
Jones verbally committed to Alabama on May 22. He chose the Crimson Tide over Texas, LSU and several other schools.
Bleacher Report Analysis
You can't coach size, and Jones has more than enough for Alabama to work with. He is a load to defend going half-speed, let alone full speed, as he is a naturally strong, deceptively quick athlete. Physically, he's gifted, but he's also someone with a high ceiling for next-level competition.
When Jones is locked in, he's difficult to contain as a defensive tackle. Alabama could be the program that gets the most out of Jones to where he is nearly unblockable in the SEC.
11. 4-Star Raekwon Davis
12 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'6 ½", 327 lbs
High School: Meridian High, Meridian, Mississippi
247Sports Ranking: No. 11 DT, No. 84 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 93/100
Committed to Alabama on Jan. 24
Alabama loves having the biggest, toughest defensive linemen. Raekwon Davis can be a player who definitely falls in that category. A tower of an athlete, Davis chose the Crimson Tide over offers from in-state schools Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among others.
With the Crimson Tide fresh off winning a national championship, you can bet that Davis has aspirations of being in the same scenario as the defensive linemen who won a national title on Jan. 11. Davis showed his potential at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Davis is a physically imposing athlete who has gotten bigger and more polished since the spring. Although his size will be the first thing many notice, his motor will attract college scouts. He also has good length and uses it well against offensive linemen.
Davis has a lot of fun when he's playing the game, but he knows how to turn the intensity on at the right times. His intensity is infectious, and he can be a leader on a team who thrives on each play. Davis can be a dominant college defensive lineman with the right tutelage.
10. 4-Star Julian Rochester
13 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'5", 321 lbs
High School: McEachern High, Powder Springs, Georgia
247Sports Ranking: No. 10 DT; No. 68 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 94/100
Enrolled at Georgia (committed on May 28, 2015)
Georgia was excited to land a player like Julian Rochester so early in the recruiting process. Rochester committed to the Bulldogs in May over offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Clemson and others. He has 20 reported offers.
Rochester took a reported visit to Louisville in December, but his recruiting process is now shut, as he enrolled at Georgia on Jan. 11. He served as a player-recruiter of sorts at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, telling uncommitted targets about the possibilities at Georgia and with new head coach Kirby Smart.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Rochester passes the eyeball test with his massive frame. He's a big, tall defender who uses his size and length well in one-on-one matchups. He's an athletic big man who plays each snap with a high level of intensity.
Rochester brings range to the line as well. He can be disruptive in running plays and passing plays because of his length. Rochester moves well laterally for a big guy and is able to make plays to help shut down his side of the field.
9. 4-Star Shavar Manuel
14 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 290 lbs
High School: IMG Academy, Bradenton, Florida
247Sports Ranking: No. 9 DT, No. 67 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 95/100
Committed to Florida on Jan. 5
Florida had one of the best defenses in the country this past season, and adding Shavar Manuel only means positive vibes for head coach Jim McElwain and his staff. Manuel chose Florida at the beginning of the year over offers from LSU, Florida State and others.
Manuel, who has 20 reported offers, is looking to rack up multiple wins at Florida after a successful stint at IMG Academy. If he reaches his full potential at Florida, look for him to be an all-conference defensive player before he leaves the program.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Manuel brings physical strength and plays with a mean streak. He's an athlete who is driven to be the best and someone who is all about accepting the challenges ahead of him. Look for him to compete for a starting spot early in his career.
In addition, Manuel is athletic enough to line up at defensive end if necessary because of his ability to rush the pass. He will bring a quick first step and solid footwork to the Gators, and because he has a winner's attitude, look for him to enter the program with a lot of confidence.
8. 4-Star Edwin Alexander
15 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'2", 310 lbs
High School: St. Thomas Aquinas High, Hammond, Louisiana
247Sports Ranking: No. 8 DT; No. 66 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 95/100
Committed to LSU on April 18, 2015
LSU thrives on its defensive play, and Edwin Alexander fits the bill of a player who can benefit head coach Les Miles' scheme. Alexander committed to LSU back in April over offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida State and a handful of other schools.
He is healthy and ready for college competition after having his junior season cut short by a knee injury. He was an Under Armour All-American who had a few good plays against some of the nation's top offensive linemen.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Alexander is a defensive lineman who possesses decent size and good speed off the snap. He plays the game with a nice burst and finds his way into the backfield for either a tackle for loss or a sack. Alexander is an athletic big man with good footwork as well.
He has good hands and plays the game with a high motor. The ceiling is high for Alexander, and he could be an immediate playmaker for the Tigers with proper coaching.
7. 4-Star Antwuan Jackson
16 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'2 ¼", 305 lbs
High School: Cedar Grove High, Ellenwood, Georgia
247Sports Ranking: No. 7 DT; No. 49 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 95/100
Enrolled at Auburn (committed on Dec. 17, 2015)
At first glance, Antwuan Jackson is a big guy, and he plays like a big guy—fun to watch on the football field even though he doesn't look like a 300-pound athlete. For starters, he doesn't even look like a 285-pounder. Regardless, Jackson definitely was a wanted individual, as he had 42 reported offers.
Jackson committed to Auburn in December, choosing the Tigers over offers from Florida, Ohio State, Alabama and South Carolina, among others. Jackson is expected to be a solid addition to head coach Gus Malzahn's defense upon his arrival at Auburn.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Jackson is a lean, muscular big man who happens to tip the scales at 305 pounds. Credit that to his having a lot of muscle mass, as he is a strong athlete. As strong as he is, however, Jackson's best assets may be his feet, as he is cat-quick off the ball.
Jackson is a well-balanced lineman with good speed, athleticism and explosiveness off the line. He has a nose for the football and likes to be in the middle of every play. Jackson's first step may be what gets him early playing time in college.
6. 4-Star Benito Jones
17 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'2", 285 lbs
High School: Wayne County High, Waynesboro, Mississippi
247Sports Ranking: No. 6 DT; No. 24 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 95/100
Committed to Ole Miss on Aug. 17, 2014
Since the summer, Benito Jones has added roughly 20 pounds of bulk. There was a time when Jones was looked at more as a defensive end than a defensive tackle. As he inches closer to 300 pounds, however, Jones is looking at playing on the inside of the line rather than on the edge.
Jones has been an Ole Miss commit for more than a year and is expected to be a solid contributor for the Rebels defense. He has offers from schools such as Georgia, Alabama, Florida State and others, but playing close to home proved to be something he couldn't pass up.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Jones is a strong lineman who uses his pad level to his advantage. He has great hands, and with his motor, he always seems to be around the football.
Jones plays with a fire that will fit well with what head coach Hugh Freeze is doing at Ole Miss. He's a versatile defender who can still play defensive end if necessary. Jones is fueled by his footwork, quickness off the snap and an overall will to get better.
5. 5-Star Rashard Lawrence
18 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3", 305 lbs
High School: Neville High, Monroe, Louisiana
247Sports Ranking: No. 5 DT, No. 23 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 96/100
Committed to LSU on Jan. 22
LSU won a huge recruiting battle against Ohio State when Rashard Lawrence committed last week. The Tigers will get a player in Lawrence who plays with a lot of physicality and a high motor.
Lawrence has 23 reported offers, and schools like Ohio State and Alabama are hoping to get a last-minute flip and add him to their already-loaded arsenals. It looks as though, however, that Lawrence is very comfortable with his pledge and will be in Baton Rouge next season.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Lawrence is fun to watch because he plays with a mean streak on the field and is a gentle giant off the field. He plays the game with a no-nonsense attitude that every college coach can appreciate. Lawrence is explosive off the snap and holds his own well against larger offensive linemen.
Physically, Lawrence is a strong athlete who plays each snap at a high level. His quickness off the ball is an asset, and his pad level and the way he uses his hands are discussion points as scouts continue to monitor his every move.
4. 5-Star Derrick Brown
19 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'3 ¾", 317 lbs
High School: Lanier High, Buford, Georgia
247Sports Ranking: No. 4 DT, No. 9 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 96/100
Uncommitted: Considering Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee
Dominant defensive tackles are major gets, and Derrick Brown will be a huge addition for the program of his choosing when he makes his decision. He showed his worth at both The Opening and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, winning his share of battles against some of the nation's top offensive linemen.
Brown, who has 26 reported offers, is expected to be an outstanding defensive catalyst at the next level. He has his favorites, but Brown has insisted that every school he's interested in has a legitimate shot at landing him.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Brown has a great nose for the football and seems to be around every play. He uses his strength and deceptive quickness to create chaos in the backfield for offenses, and he possesses a great first step in passing situations.
Brown is a thick-bodied athlete who, despite being nearly 6'4", plays with a low center of gravity. His balance makes him tough to defend against offensive linemen, and it makes him a very attractive prospect to college coaches.
3. 5-Star Ed Oliver
20 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'2", 277 lbs
High School: Westfield High, Houston
247Sports Ranking: No. 3 DT, No. 6 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 97/100
Committed to Houston on May 21, 2015
There may not be a defensive player with a better motor in the 2016 class than Ed Oliver. He is a buzz saw on the defensive line, someone who plays with a mean streak and is very disruptive in both running and passing downs.
Oliver shocked the recruiting world in May when he committed to Houston over schools such as LSU, Texas, Baylor and Texas A&M. Oliver's older brother, Marcus, plays for the Cougars. Together, the two hope to lead Houston to another successful season after the Cougars beat Florida State in the Peach Bowl.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Oliver may be one of the smallest defensive tackles among the elite linemen, but his size is quickly forgotten when the ball is snapped. He is an explosive athlete who uses his speed, athleticism and football IQ to beat offensive linemen off the snap.
Oliver is a guy who is all about action and less about being vocal on the field. He plays each snap as if it were his last, and he's a high-impact player at the point of attack.
2. 5-Star Dexter Lawrence
21 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'4", 327 lbs
High School: Wake Forest High, Wake Forest, North Carolina
247Sports Ranking: No. 2 DT; No. 2 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 97/100
Committed to Clemson on Dec. 14, 2015
The game of football comes naturally for Dexter Lawrence, considering he makes playing defensive tackle look so effortless. The end results are the same: Lawrence shows himself as a dominant defensive lineman. He made that statement as a U.S. Army All-American.
Last month, Lawrence became Clemson's highest-ranked recruit since cornerback Brian Staley, who was the No. 6 overall player in the 2003 class. Lawrence chose Clemson over Florida, Florida State, North Carolina and North Carolina State, among other schools.
Bleacher Report Analysis
For a big lineman, Lawrence is cat-quick off the ball. But his quickness takes a back seat to his brute strength and ability to fight through double-teams. Lawrence is big, strong and elusive.
Additionally, Lawrence is deceptively fast off the snap. He has a great first step and quickly gives offensive linemen fits in running and passing situations. Lawrence is a player who can be a game-changing lineman at the next level.
1. 5-Star Rashan Gary
22 of 22
Height/Weight: 6'5", 293 lbs
High School: Paramus Catholic High, Paramus, New Jersey
247Sports Ranking: No. 1 DT, No. 1 overall
Bleacher Report Score: 99/100
Uncommitted: Considering Michigan, Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson and USC
What else can be said about Rashan Gary that hasn't been said already? The nation's No. 1 overall player has shown on multiple occasions that he sets the bar in the 2016 class with his play. He was the most dominant player at The Opening and at the Under Armour All-America Game.
National signing day will be the day one lucky school lands a player expected to be all-conference material the moment he steps on campus. With 30 reported offers, Gary has schools such as Michigan, Alabama, Clemson, Ole Miss and USC awaiting his every word between now and Feb. 3.
Bleacher Report Analysis
Gary is a football phenomenon, someone with a defensive tackle's power, a defensive end's quickness off the rush and a linebacker's speed. Few athletes his size can run the 40-yard dash in less than 4.8 seconds. His quickness and explosiveness off the ball make him a problem for offensive linemen.
Put all of Gary's characteristics on the table, and it's easy to see why he's the nation's top-ranked overall player. The expectations are high for Gary, and his future looks bright.
