Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Felipe Anderson and Marquinhos Rumours
Manchester United are reportedly "determined" to seal a deal for Lazio's Felipe Anderson in the current transfer window with reports in Italy indicating they are preparing a bid worth €50 million (£36.7 million).
According to Marco Credentino of Gazzetta World, Lazio president Claudio Lotito, having rebuffed a €50 million bid from the Red Devils in the summer, is now prepared to accept a similar fee after Anderson's somewhat subpar season.
The report adds that United remain serious about signing the 22-year-old Brazilian as manager Louis van Gaal is eager to expand his attacking options.

The winger is comfortable on either flank and would thus provide competition for the likes of Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay and Juan Mata should he make the switch to United.
While Anderson has unquestionably shown inspiration in bursts in his two-and-a-half seasons at Lazio, his inconsistency will be a concern for many United fans, especially given his underwhelming return in the current campaign, per Squawka:
He certainly has enormous potential, but it would be a huge gamble to shell out more than £35 million on a player who is far from guaranteed to succeed in the Premier League.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe believes United need "two or three players" in January if they are to compete for the Premier League title this season:
But Anderson is not necessarily the type of player they need, especially given his inflated price tag and lack of experience at the highest level.
Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos is another youngster on United's radar, and he has also reportedly been valued at £36.7 million by the Ligue 1 giants, per Spanish outlet Fichajes (via Jamie Sanderson of Metro).
The report stated United are looking to sign the 21-year-old centre-back in January as they want to bolster their defensive options.

Marquinhos is not currently a guaranteed starter at PSG and has made five of his 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season from the bench, per WhoScored.com.
Given the fluid nature of United's centre-back pairing—Chris Smalling is the only definite starter when fit—the Brazilian would likely be afforded more first-team opportunities at Old Trafford.
He has recently indicated that he is becoming frustrated at the Parc des Princes, per Ligue 1 writer Jonathan Johnson:
Marquinhos' ability to also play at right-back makes him an attractive option for United and, while he would again be a risky purchase at £36.7 million, he has proved on a more regular basis than Anderson that he is a high-quality player.
