Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com and John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported the news.

Brown's Injury a Major Blow to Texans Offense
Brown's absence could not come at a worse time, as the Texans clinched the AFC South on Sunday and will host the Kansas City Chiefs in a wild-card matchup.
Houston will be without its blindside protector and best overall offensive lineman. The 2008 first-round pick has spent his entire career with the Texans, earning three Pro Bowl berths. Pro Football Focus rated Brown as the 17th-best offensive tackle in football this season.
Making the situation even more disconcerting from Brown's perspective is his contract. Houston can save $7 million on its 2016 salary cap by cutting him this offseason, per Spotrac. The seriousness of the injury may make the Texans consider such a move, though Brown is their longest-tenured player.
