Liverpool Transfer News: Emil Forsberg, Marko Grujic and Top Reds Rumours
Liverpool are reportedly "ready to spend €9 million" for the services of RB Leipzig's Emil Forsberg in the January transfer window, while the Reds are also set to announce Marko Grujic as their first winter signing and Fenerbahce will rival the club for the signature of Juventus' Martin Caceres.
Swedish winger Forsberg has already scored five goals for Leipzig this season, his first full season in the German Bundesliga II, per WhoScored.com. Per Bild (h/t Joe Mewis of the Daily Mirror), he has now caught the eye of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.

RB Leipzig is an ambitious club that was only founded in 2009 and is on the fast track to the highest level of German football, as they currently lead the Bundesliga II standings.
Convincing Die Bullen to sell won't be easy, although it shouldn't be too hard to make Forsberg fall in love with Anfield. The talented speedster has spent his entire career playing for relatively minor teams, which is remarkable, given his obvious potential.
Here's a look at some of his highlights from his last season with former club Malmo:
On the surface, Forsberg looks like an odd transfer target for a storied club like Liverpool. He's not a well-known player, doesn't even ply his trade at the top level of German football and is already 24 years old.
But Klopp has always had an eye for talent, and he managed to build an impressive squad with Borussia Dortmund by making a number of shrewd signings. If he believes Forsberg is good enough to play in the Premier League, he's probably right.
Out-of-favour Juventus defender Caceres is free to discuss terms with interested clubs, as his contract will run out at the end of the season, but according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Daily Express' Joe Short), Fenerbahce are looking to bring him to Turkey immediately and will offer the Bianconeri a “decent package.”

The Uruguay international has been one of Juventus' top depth options for years and holds a lot of value thanks to his versatility. He has played centre-back and full-back at times and even feels comfortable as a wing-back in a formation with three central defenders.
ESPN FC's David Amoyal rates him highly:
Caceres always seemed likely to leave Turin in search of a job as a regular starter, and he has barely featured for the Italian champions in 2015-16 following a drunk-driving incident in September, per Goal's Mark Doyle.
The presence of star youngster Daniele Rugani means Juventus don't necessarily have to keep hold of the 28-year-old until the summer, and they'll obviously prefer to sell him now over losing him on a free transfer at the end of his contract.
The Red are in dire need of defensive depth, as the back line has been hit hard by injuries this season. Caceres would be a fantastic option, and he might even be good enough to be a regular starter for the Reds. As you can see in the video below, he certainly has plenty of quality:
Meanwhile, Jonathan Green of the Daily Star reports young midfielder Grujic has been granted a work permit, and his move to Liverpool could become official as early as Monday, pending a medical.
The 19-year-old will return to his old club Red Star Belgrade on loan for the rest of the season, but expectations will be high for his Reds debut next summer.
A clever playmaker with tremendous passing range, Grujic has already been compared to the likes of Steven Gerrard and Paul Pogba by Serbian journalist Vlastimir Stevanovic (h/t Sky Sports' Richard Morgan):
"If I had to compare Marko Grujic to anyone in terms of style of playing, I'd compare him to Steven Gerrard.
He can play offensively, but he would also be great at playing a deeper role, much like [Paul] Pogba, which is actually how he plays at Red Star.
He is very tall and strong so he's great at aerial duels. He has excellent vision, a great passing game and he possesses great game intelligence.
"
Grujic is still a young and raw prospect, and there's a good chance he'll struggle initially once he does make a permanent move to Anfield. But his potential is off the charts, and there's little reason not to get excited by this signing.
