Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben Is Happy That His 'S--T' 2015 Is Ending

Joe GallagherDec 28, 2015

Arjen Robben's assessment of 2015 is fairly frank.

The Dutchman has endured a stop-start year with both his country and Bayern Munich thanks to injury, and he told news outlet NOS (via Sport) that he can't wait for it to end.

Bayern are eight points clear of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga and are enjoying the traditional winter break before playing their next game on January 22.

"I am happy because 2015 is ending," Robben admitted. "It's been a s--t year for me. I got injured in a stupid way in March and since then I've not returned to feeling good. Hopefully it's all passed and I will be ready to return to action when the Bundesliga returns after the winter break."

Bayern are flying domestically and are also through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League, where they will meet Juventus, but they were dealt a blow late in the year when Pep Guardiola confirmed he will not be returning next season.

"It's a true shame. I am a bit disappointed to see that he's going," Robben said. "Now everything will start again like what happens whenever there's a new coach."
