Jorge Sampaoli Reportedly Considered for Chelsea Job by Owner Roman Abramovich
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly "considering" Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli as the next permanent manager at Stamford Bridge.
That's according to Antony Kastrinakis of the Sun, who further noted the Argentinian is yet to decide on his future with La Roja after guiding them to the 2015 Copa America.
Guus Hiddink is in charge on an interim basis until the end of the season, when the Blues will need to find a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Kastrinakis reports that Sampaoli will make a decision on his future after discussions with the Chilean Federation on January 4—should he decide to step down as La Roja's coach, he would then be available for Chelsea to approach.
As football analyst and journalist Jack Rathborn notes, Sampaoli is one of many bosses to be linked with the long-term vacancy:
However, after three successful years with Chile, Sampaoli is a worthy candidate for a managerial role at a prominent European club.

As Sky Sports' Guillem Balague notes, Sampaoli is one of many notable students of Marcelo Bielsa:
The 55-year-old has firmly embraced his compatriot's expansive, high-pressing yet unpredictable philosophy and impassioned style with great success.
At the 2014 World Cup, the Argentinian saw his side escape a group that included the Netherlands and then-world champions Spain, before losing to hosts Brazil on penalties in the round of 16.
After having a significant amount of time to embed his way of playing into the team, BT Sport's Max Bentley believed Sampaoli's side could win the Copa America:
They did just that as he guided Chile to glory—their first victory in the prestigious tournament.
With Hiddink brought in to steady the ship following Mourinho's rocky departure, Sampaoli could be the one to really fire them up for a title challenge next season.
If given time to implement his tactics as he was with La Roja, his appointment could yield excellent long-term results at Stamford Bridge.
