Neymar and Lionel Messi Comment on Barcelona's Club World Cup 2015 Triumph
Barcelona maestro Neymar described Sunday's FIFA Club World Cup triumph over River Plate as "one of the best moments" of his career to date, while vice-captain Lionel Messi emphasised the club's need to scale new heights.
Luis Suarez scored twice in the 3-0 win against Argentinian outfit River Plate, but Neymar was one of the other main architects of the win and hailed this victory as a special one, per Spanish newspaper Marca:
"I'm really happy to win the Club World Cup. This is one of the best moments of my life. Winning this trophy means a lot; all that was missing was a goal. This is a very important competition for Brazilians and I feel a lot of emotion. I'm delighted because we're making history.
I feel fine. Leo [Messi] and I played for longer than we expected and we have to keep doing our thing. It was a great all-round performance.

"Making history" is right. Following on from last season's treble, the Blaugrana are on course to match that feat in 2016, and Neymar is one of those pulling the team's strings and doing so in such confident fashion.
The Brazil international has enjoyed a highly fruitful partnership alongside MSN partners Messi and Suarez over the past year. Broadcaster Juan Arango provided a quote that succinctly summed up what it is that makes the South American trio such a success:
Despite missing Week 16 of the La Liga campaign, Barca remained at the summit of Spain's top flight and sit level on points with Atletico Madrid, who suffered a 1-0 defeat at Malaga on Sunday.
Amid all the stars at the Camp Nou, four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has grown most accustomed to maintaining sky-high standards, and Marca reported on his desire to keep chasing bigger goals and prospects:
"I'm really happy to continue making history at such a massive club. This was not easy. We worked really hard to make it this far and now we have to enjoy our moment. It's a huge feat. We can't take our foot off the gas because there are important things on the horizon.
"
It's precisely that kind of attitude that's undoubtedly helped one of the sport's all-time greats to remain so close to the pinnacle for the past decade, constantly demanding improvement of himself.
The 2015 Club World Cup is but the latest addition to Messi's trophy cabinet, which Bet365 reported as filled to the brim following Sunday's decisive win in Yokohama:
Luis Enrique's side lead La Liga, are through to the last 16 of this season's Champions League and have a great chance at Copa del Rey glory following Real Madrid's expulsion from the tournament.
What's more, Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker feels Messi is on track for individual accolades in 2016 as well:
There's no telling what Messi and Neymar will go on to achieve at the Camp Nou as long as they continue to enjoy such sensational form spliced with the winning mentality that's served the Argentinian so well for so long.
That makes for a dangerous concoction as far as Barcelona's opponents are concerned, and it will take a great power to derail a jubilant Neymar thriving alongside a determined Messi.
