Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Paulo Dybala, Bernardo Silva Rumours
Juventus have denied any rumours they could sell Paulo Dybala to Barcelona in the near future after the young striker moved to the Serie A champions during the last summer transfer window.
The Argentina international has enjoyed a phenomenal start to life in Turin and is already being linked with an unlikely move to the Blaugrana, but Juve CEO Giuseppe Marotta immediately dismissed reports a transfer could be on the cards.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset (h/t Sky Sports, for Fox Sports), he said: "We do not want to sell him neither this season nor in the following ones as we have invested a considerable sum on him. Dybala is a player who is growing and who has not yet shown his full potential."

Controversy in Champions League Semi

Projecting Spain's World Cup Squad 🇪🇸

The 22-year-old has already scored eight goals and added three assists in 11 Serie A starts, per WhoScored.com, surpassing all expectations this early in his career with the Bianconeri. Bought as a replacement for Carlos Tevez, he's quickly mastered the role as Juventus' main creator in front of the midfield.
Sports writer Paulo Bandini notes his immediate impact has been even greater than that of his compatriot:
He has struck up a strong partnership with Mario Mandzukic, allowing the latter to concentrate on occupying defenders near the box and freeing up space for Dybala to use his great speed and dribbling skills.
With those two peaking, Juventus have hit their best form of the season after a poor start to the campaign, and the Bianconeri once again look like the team to beat in Italy.
Here's a look at how Dybala's first few months in Turin have played out:
Dybala's strong start was always going to lead to transfer speculation, particularly after he told reporters back in March he would "swim" to Barcelona should the club make him an offer, per Radio Belgrano (h/t Goal's Stefan Coerts).
That was before he completed a big-money move to Turin, however. Juventus are one of the biggest clubs on the continent, and they aren't in the business of selling their top young talent so soon after they join the club. Just look at star midfielder Paul Pogba, who is still with the team, despite constant transfer speculation, per Goal's Sam Lee.
As reported by Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz, Barcelona have virtually no budget to spend in the January transfer window, and their outlook doesn't look great for the summer, either. The Blaugrana simply can't afford Dybala, and Juventus are in no hurry to sell.
Blaugrana to Battle for Bernardo Silva

Another young player being linked with the Catalans is AS Monaco's Bernardo Silva, who will reportedly be the subject of a transfer battle between Barcelona and Chelsea, per Fichajes.net (h/t Metro's George Bellshaw).
The 21-year-old was one of the star performers at last summer's Under-21 European Championship, where Portugal advanced to the final before losing to Sweden.
Per the report, Monaco value Silva at £21.6million, and Chelsea are planning a January move. Barcelona would rather wait for summer, handing the Blues the advantage for now.

A classy passer with tremendous range and strong defensive instincts, Silva looks like a future superstar, although he likely would start his Barcelona career as a depth option should he join.
Here's a look at what he brings to the table:
Following Monaco's exit from the Europa League, a transfer of Silva is likely, as the French club will have to recoup the funds they're set to lose out on somehow. But once again, Barcelona's dire financial state complicates matters.
Midfield is hardly an area of weakness for the Blaugrana, who will spend what money they have to add depth at a position with a more pressing need: striker. Luis Suarez continues to play heavy minutes as the lone striker in the squad, and a solid backup is sorely needed.
It makes more sense to either invest in an affordable, talented youngster or an experienced veteran up front, all but ruling out a January move for Silva. Things could change if he's still available in summer, but for now, don't expect a move to the Camp Nou anytime soon.
