James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo shared an image of Lovren making an exit from Anfield after the West Brom match:
The 26-year-old left the pitch on a stretcher after a rash challenge from Craig Gardner. He was clearly in a lot of pain, suffering from a "sliced knee" that sports writer Paul Tomkins labelled "horrific."
Lovren Improving Under Klopp
Liverpool face a bit of a defensive crisis, as young star Joe Gomez has already missed several months with an injury of his own. Mamadou Sakho has also been out for some time, although Klopp believes he's close to returning to action.
Martin Skrtel is also injured, although Emre Can has proved a capable defender in case of emergency. The 21-year-old has far more value as a midfielder, however, and Klopp would undoubtedly prefer to keep him there.
Lovren struggled in his first season at Anfield after making the move from Southampton last summer, but since the appointment of Klopp, his form has improved tremendously.
