Liverpool Transfer News: Lucas Moura Eyes Jurgen Klopp Link-Up, Latest Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura is reportedly “extremely interested” in working with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, if the latest rumours from France are to be believed.
French magazine Le 10 Sport (h/t Daily Star's Jamie Anderson) claims the Reds have made contact with Les Parisiens regarding Moura's availability, as Klopp is a big fan of the Brazilian and still needs a creative force to replace the void left by Raheem Sterling.
The admiration is apparently mutual as it is believed Moura would love to work with Klopp, opening the door for a January bid. He has started 12 of PSG's Ligue 1 matches so far this season, so the French champions are unlikely to move him on the cheap, per WhoScored.com.

Consistency may still be an issue for the 23-year-old speedster, but when he's at his best, it's easy to see why PSG paid £32 million to bring him to France, per Anderson.
He's an excellent dribbler and shooter of the ball, and his creativity would be a tremendous asset for the Reds, as you can see below:
The squad Klopp inherited from former manager Brendan Rodgers lacks true wide men with experience on the highest level, a role Sterling sometimes fulfilled before he moved to Manchester City.
Jordon Ibe is a sensational talent, but he's too young to be counted on every week and needs time to reach his potential. The same goes for Divock Origi, who has the pace to play out wide but is a more natural fit at the striker position.
Moura would be a fantastic alternative, capable of contributing immediately while maintaining the long-term potential this Reds squad need to emerge as one of the Premier League's top sides.

The problem is Moura's fee. Even if the player is keen to leave PSG, which at this point in time is a more attractive destination than Anfield, the Ligue 1 giants won't be willing to let their star wide man leave at a discount.
Les Parisiens paid £32 million for his services back in 2013, when he was a talented-but-raw prospect. They've since developed him into a budding star, so there's no way they will let Moura leave for a fee that isn't significantly higher than their initial investment.
Foot-Sur 7 (via Luke Gardener of the Daily Star) claims Arsenal are preparing a £21.5 million bid for his services―an absurd suggestion, given his role as a regular starter for the club and what PSG paid for him in 2013.
Coupled with the fact he's still a rather inconsistent player who has a tendency to go through some rough patches, PSG's asking price will likely be too high for just about any club in Europe. Moura would make the Reds better, but he's not on the level where he can consistently decide matches yet.
There are better and cheaper alternatives out there, and perhaps more importantly, Liverpool should be able to get more value for their money if they invest in another player.
Per Calciomercato (h/t Daily Mirror's Liam Corless), Domenico Berardi has previously been linked with the Reds, and while a January move for the Italian is unlikely, he's a perfect example of a player with similar potential, more consistency and a lower asking price.
Moura is an excellent player, but as of right now, a January transfer seems highly unlikely.
