Manchester United Transfer News: Harry Kane Urged to Move, Latest Rumours
Teddy Sheringham is a player who knows all about making the move from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester United and has encouraged Harry Kane to do the same. But not just yet.
The Spurs striker has shot to prominence over the past couple of seasons with some brilliant performances at the point of the attack at White Hart Lane. Sheringham, who joined the Red Devils from Tottenham as a 31-year-old in 1997, offered the England international some advice about his future, per Matt McGeehan of the Press Association (h/t the MailOnline):
"The game is all about timing. Sometimes you can leave a club too early and join a bigger club when the timing isn't quite right.
For Harry to sign again for Tottenham and know that he's going to be there for the next couple of years at least is great for him to settle down, enjoy his football. To know you will be King Pin there gives you a lot of confidence.

However, Sheringham added: "Tell him not to wait too long, though. Not as long as I waited. I was 31 by the time I went to Man United."
Sheringham enjoyed four incredible years at United. Although he wasn’t always a regular starter for the Red Devils, he made crucial contributions, including a late equaliser in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich. He rejoined Spurs in 2001 having won three league titles, one FA Cup and the Champions League.

Kane will be desperate to achieve similar feats in his career, although he’s still young.
It’s Kane’s cool head in front of goal which has really been impressive throughout the past two terms, per OptaJoe:
The advice seems sound from Sheringham, who would have surely enjoyed a couple more years playing under Sir Alex Ferguson and winning trophies on a regular basis. Kane seems to be loving his football at Tottenham, though, and for the time being, White Hart Lane is the ideal venue for him to continue his progression.

United will always be interested in the best young English players and are currently short of genuine goalscorers. But Kane would be a very pricey acquisition at the moment, meaning it’s unlikely he’ll be leaving Spurs for a considerable time yet.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic Future Uncertain

Rumoured Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign, with manager Laurent Blanc conceding it’s the player’s decision whether he stays or goes.
“His contract will run until June 2016 so it’s more about what the player wants to do,” said the manager, per the Guardian. “We are all focused on the league right now but that is a question we will ask ourselves. At 34, Zlatan is showing that he has still got it.”

As noted by Aaron Flanagan of the Daily Mirror, Ibrahimovic has been linked with moves to United and Arsenal in the past. Feasibly, the mercurial Swede could sign a pre-contract with either club as early as January, although the 34-year-old is likely to command significant wage demands.
For the Red Devils, Ibrahimovic could potentially be worth that kind of outlay. As we can see here courtesy of BT Sport Football, even in the twilight of his remarkable career, the striker still has razor-sharp instincts in front of goal:
United have a lot of young forwards on their books and you can bet the likes of Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial and James Wilson would learn plenty from having Ibrahimovic around. The Sweden international remains one of the most fearsome forward players in world football, meaning he could still have a massive impact in the Premier League.
If he’s keen on a move, it could be a masterstroke on the part of the Red Devils, but you suspect if the forward is to leave the French champions on a free transfer, there will not be a shortage of potential suitors.
