Eddie Lacy, James Starks, John Crockett Post-Week 13 Fantasy Advice
The Green Bay Packers shook out of a massive midseason funk in Thursday's 27-23 Hail Mary win but must address what's become a very limited offense—particularly in the run game.
You know you have problems when your pro-style quarterback is the game’s leading rusher, and such was the case in Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, when Aaron Rodgers led the Packers with 27 rushing yards on four carries with a score.
Among running backs, the Packers posted just 41 rushing yards on 16 attempts.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈

Health aside, Eddie Lacy has been—far and away—the most disappointing fantasy product in 2015.
A unanimous first-round selection, Lacy has mustered just 46.6 rushing yards per game and three total touchdowns in 11 games this season. On Thursday, he had four rushing yards on five carries and was in the negative in receiving.
Lacy’s limited outing poses a major dilemma to owners preparing for the playoffs, which begin next week. At this point, he’s returned to a must-avoid fantasy status, per Matthew Berry of ESPN:
An ailing ankle has hindered Lacy since Week 2, but by no means does that excuse his remarkable lack of production—lowly enough to lose his starting job to James Starks.
Lacy showed upward signs with a combined 27 fantasy points the past two weeks but was once again limited by the Lions—a team that’s had his number since his rookie campaign in 2013, per NFL Fantasy Football:
Michael Fabiano of NFL.com and Matt Spiegel of 670 The Score took particular notice of Lacy’s proverbial absence Thursday:
| Rush Attempts | Rush Yards | Receptions | Receiving Yards | Total TDs | Fantasy Points |
| 9 | 15 | 4 | 45 | 0 | 5 |
While Lacy hit the skids during the middle of the season, Starks emerged a potential fantasy replacement—but only in deep leagues, as he averages just 6.9 points per game.
Starks may be worth a waiver add, but he’ll need to be carefully observed in the final weeks to be considered a start.
| Rush Attempts | Rush Yards | Receptions | Receiving Yards | Total TDs | Fantasy Points |
| 5 | 22 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
Third-stringer John Crockett led Packers running backs on the ground Thursday, but by no means was it an eye-opening performance.
Crockett had just five carries for 22 yards in his first career game after the Packers promoted him from the practice squad the same day as Thursday's game.
He’s worth keeping an eye on given Green Bay's lack of options elsewhere, but he doesn’t deserve a fantasy roster spot at this point in the season.
