Matthew Stafford Passes Bart Starr on NFL All-Time Passing-Yards List
Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions were running away with an early lead over the Green Bay Packers before Aaron Rodgers mounted an incredible comeback on Thursday
Stafford still dealt the division rivals a minor blow in the first quarter.
The Pro Bowl quarterback passed Packers legend Bart Starr on the all-time passing list with a touchdown strike to Calvin Johnson, reaching 24,731 yards for his career to move to No. 70 on the list, per Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Stafford's touchdown pass helped give Detroit a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and came one play after safety Glover Quin snagged an interception off Aaron Rodgers, the reigning MVP’s fifth pick of the season.
Stafford went on to also pass Tommy Kramer and move to No. 69 on the list, needing just 120 yards and finishing with 220.
The seventh-year pro out of Georgia has already passed icons Roger Staubach, Otto Graham and Norm Van Brocklin on the list this season and is the only active quarterback younger than 30 years old to rank in the top 100 in passing, per Rothstein.
The Lions had won three straight entering Thursday, beginning with a Week 10 upset over the Packers at Lambeau Field. Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com pointed out that Stafford’s season took an upward turn during the upset win:
"Stafford — a streaky thrower — has been very accurate the last few weeks. Season turned at halftime in GB.

Detroit is 4-8 following Thursday's heartbreaking loss on an Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary with no time remaining, now likely out of the playoff race.
