Chelsea Transfer News: Charly Musonda Fears Emerge, Latest Diego Costa Rumours
Chelsea starlet Charly Musonda is reportedly growing concerned he may not have a future at Stamford Bridge amid rumours the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City are looking to make a move for the talented Belgian forward.
Meanwhile, striker Diego Costa has reportedly put his snub against Tottenham Hotspur behind him.
According to the Daily Telegraph's Matt Law, the new contract he signed in March has done little to convince Musonda the Blues have big plans for him, and a lack of opportunities in the 2015-16 campaign hasn't helped, either.

Law believes the 19-year-old is likely to sit down with Chelsea ahead of the January transfer window, where the Blues could sway his mind with either a loan move or another new contract. The player's father has previously made it clear he believes the best thing Musonda can do is leave:
"He must absolutely leave Chelsea and, since January, Monaco have been trying to sign him. Monaco are not alone but they truly want him.
Chelsea don’t want him to go back to Belgium. They want Charly to play in a good team in a big league. He must play for a first team. He progresses every day, but he must develop further.
"
Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly all keen on the Belgium under-21 international, along with a number of top foreign clubs, per Law. And if the upcoming talks don't go as planned, a permanent move may become a real possibility.
As reported by Het Laatste Nieuws (h/t Sport Witness' Tom Coast), Musonda just hired a new agent, and that man is Aidy Ward, who made headlines during the summer as the representative behind Raheem Sterling's move from Liverpool to City:
"For those of you who don’t know, Aidy Ward is Raheem Sterling’s agent, the man behind the Manchester City transfer, who recently said his client was better off having left Liverpool in the summer.
[…]
At the age of 19, the youngster (Musonda) has already gone through more agents than most footballers do in their whole career, as HLN explain he already tried out Christophe Henrotay as well as a brief stint with Jorge Mendes before deciding on Ward.
Aidy Ward is known to be outspoken and tries to get the best deal for his clients by any means necessary, and it wouldn’t surprise us if Musonda articles appear a little more frequently in the media from now on.
"
It's worth noting Musonda declined to join Vitesse Arnhem on loan during the summer, while the likes of Isaiah Brown, Dominic Solanke and Lewis Baker did move to the Netherlands and have continued their development in the Eredivisie, per Law.
His refusal to move to Vitesse indicates he feels he's ready for first-team action at a bigger club and could close the door on a loan move in January. Musonda is a special talent, but he has little experience on the highest level, and manager Jose Mourinho is unlikely to hand him more minutes in the second half of the season.
Expect to hear a lot more about Musonda and his future in the coming weeks, as the club and player try to come to some sort of agreement.

Meanwhile, Law says Costa has shown no signs of still being upset at Mourinho's decision to leave him on the bench for the goalless draw against Spurs, which should momentarily silence the transfer rumour mill a bit.
The Spain international made headlines by tossing his training bib into the air when it became clear he wouldn't see the pitch against Tottenham, and former Blues goalkeeper Mark Bosnich thought his days in west London were numbered following the incident.
Speaking on Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast (via talkSPORT's Alex Varney), he said:
"It didn't look good. Generally when you are with a manager and you do that type of thing, it is the beginning of the end.
Not going out for the warm-up, I can understand that completely, but throwing the bib at the manager during the game points to one way.
They probably won't do it immediately but I really do think it is the beginning of the end, which is really unfortunate because he has been a smash hit since he has been at Chelsea.
"
Costa made an immediate impact when he joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid two summers ago, scoring plenty of goals early, but he cooled down in the second half of the 2014-15 season and has been largely ineffective in the 2015-16 campaign.
Per WhoScored.com, he has scored just three goals in 11 Premier League starts, not nearly enough to guide Chelsea out of their current slump.
He did show what he's capable of last season, however, and in all likelihood, he will have the rest of the season to prove he should be Chelsea's starting striker moving forward.
