Marion Barber Questionable For Week Three

Updating earlier reports that Barber would get an MRI on an apparent quad injury, a report has surfaced that Barber is "50-50" on whether he will play against the Carolina Panthers on Monday night.

It's a quad strain, and with great depth at the position, it's unlikely the Cowboys chance it, even when they're on a long week.

Carolina's run defense isn't horrible, either, so a nicked-up Barber doesn't bode well for Dallas, nor does it for your fantasy hopes.

Brandon Marshall a "Rotational" Player

The Broncos are 2-0, so whatever Josh McDaniels says, goes, at this point.

At the very least, it's quite clear Denver doesn't care what Marshall says or thinks, and if they can continue winning (the can't) without using him extensively, then they will surely try to do so.

With only seven grabs for under 70 yards through two games, Marshall is proving to be unworthy of even a WR3 spot on your fantasy roster.

Larry Fitzgerald Unhappy With Kurt Warner?

Marcus Fitzgerald, Larry's brother, posted several "tweets" during and after Sunday's game, stating that Warner was "an old ass man" and that Warner wouldn't "throw 2 Larry".

Quite the spokesman for the elder Fitzgerald, although I'm sure the Cardinals star is already telling him that he's an idiot.

Regardless, Fitzgerald has reason to be at least a little annoyed, as he's been ignored on deep routes through two games, only catching 10 passes for just over 100 yards.

Mike Bell's MRI Reveals No Major Damage

Bells MRI showed that he had a sprained MCL, but with no structural damage, the injury shouldn't keep him out long.

He is very unlikely to suit-up in week three, however, as knee injuries are not things you take lightly. Especially when the Saints know all too well how they can affect the offenses. See: Reggie Bush.

Pierre Thomas should find his way back this week, and paired with Bush, should give the Saints enough help on the ground to move forward.

Brady Quinn Staying Cleveland's Starter

This "report" comes after Detroit's Jim Schwartz was very vocal about standing behind his rookie, Matthew Stafford.

It'd be pretty sad if either Schwartz or Eric Mangini had a knee-jerk reaction with either Stafford or Quinn after just two games.

Regardless, the Browns are 0-2, and with only 19 points in two games (12 by the actual offense), Mangini may begin to grow impatient.

Lions Lose Linebacker Ernie Sims For Indefinite Amount of Time

Sims is out with a shoulder injury that the Lions don't care to elaborate on.

Without any specifics from Detroit, it's hard to gauge when he'll be back, but the feeling is that he will surely miss week three. This hurts the Lions growing defense, as Sims already contributed 14 tackles and fumble recovery through the first two games.

Arguably their most active and athletic linebacker, the loss of Sims could potentially hurt the defense tremendously.

Atlanta Loses Peria Jerry For Season

The Falcons, who were already allowing over 5.0 yards per rush, lose their big man in the middle for the year. While Jerry was only a rookie, he was the best nose tackle they had, and now they have to work with a rotation of Thomas Johnson and Trey Lewis.

Neither Johnson or Lewis has exceptional pass-rushing skills. This outwardly marginal loss could be huge for a defense that figured to be much-improved.

Mike Sims-Walker to Start Opposite of Torry Holt

With the loss of Troy Williamson for the season, Sims-Walker officially finds himself on the field as a starter. Considering he's already showed solid chemistry with David Garrard, this is really good news.

The Jaguars are still a run-first team, but Sims-Walker has marginal value as a WR3 going forward.
