Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest on Jese Rodriguez and Denis Cheryshev Rumours
Real Madrid squad players Jese Rodriguez and Denis Cheryshev could be on the verge of January moves away from the Bernabeu after struggling to break into the side this season.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon (h/t Metro's Mark Brus), Arsenal are "looking into signing" Jese with star forward Alexis Sanchez reportedly set for an unspecified spell on the sidelines.
The Spaniard has featured for just 312 minutes across seven La Liga appearances this season—a measly average of fewer than 50 minutes per outing.

In that time, Jese has scored twice and assisted once. Football journalists Dermot Corrigan and Rik Sharma hailed the 22-year-old upon scoring in the wins against Levante and Las Palmas and believe he is underused by Real manager Rafa Benitez:
As Brus notes, the Gunners could use some attacking reinforcements in order to maintain their title challenge for the duration of the season, as they already have Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck in the treatment room.
With their raft of injury problems, Jese could well feature more regularly in Arsenal than he does in the Spanish capital, and that could prove tempting if the Gunners make their interest in him concrete.
Jese is a promising player and perhaps does deserve more game time at the Bernabeu, but he would be something of a gamble for the Gunners, who could really use a reliable and prolific goalscorer to give them a further cutting edge.

Also at risk of departure is Cheryshev, as according to Hugo Cerezo of Marca he "will push for a loan move in the winter transfer window" after featuring for just 58 minutes this season.
Cerezo further notes that Liverpool, Everton, Valencia and Villarreal may all be interested in the 24-year-old.
The winger has still managed to record an assist in the hour or so he's actually made it onto the pitch this season and impressed last year on loan at El Submarino Amarillo with seven goals and 10 assists to his name.
WhoScored.com runs the rule over the impressive array of qualities he could bring to a prospective suitor:
Indeed, if Cheryshev does push for a temporary switch in January—and expect him to, with Euro 2016 fast approaching—he'll have no problem in attracting interest from a host of clubs looking to secure his services.
Unless Benitez starts using him far more in the coming weeks, and barring injury that doesn't seem likely, expect the manager to allow Cheryshev to depart.
