Tyson Fury Next Fight: Latest News, Rumors and Speculation
After extending his career unbeaten streak to 25-0 with a stunning win over Wladimir Klitschko in November, rumours continue to surround Tyson Fury as to who his next opponent will be.

Wilder Comments on Potential Fury Bout
Monday, Nov. 30
"I want that fight to happen as soon as possible," Deontay Wilder said, via the BBC.
"I've got to fight someone in January and after that fight I would love to have a unification bout - and guess what, I wouldn't mind coming to the UK for that one," the WBC champion continued.
"No matter where it might be, I want to be the undisputed champion of the world."
IBF Order Vyacheslav Glazkov Negotiations
Monday, Nov. 30
According to Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix on Twitter: "The IBF has ordered Tyson Fury to begin negotiations with No. 1 contender [Vyacheslav] Czar Glazkov, per source. Two sides have 30 days, or purse bid."
The Czar, having won an Olympic bronze medal in Beijing in 2008, is unbeaten in all 22 of his professional fights, winning 13 of them by knockout.
His status as the No. 1 IBF contender makes him a worthy opponent for the Englishman, who will no doubt target the division's top names after beating Klitschko.
Further, having just won the IBF title, Fury isn't likely to concede it—quite literally—without a fight, so expect him to begin negotiations with the Ukrainian in due course.
Anthony Joshua Welcomes Fury Showdown
Monday, Nov. 30
Ahead of his clash with Dillian Whyte, WBC International champion Anthony Joshua admitted he would be open to facing Fury in the ring and remains confident he would emerge triumphant despite Fury's stunning victory over Klitschko.
He told Sky Sports:
"I believe I can beat anyone so, yeah, I can beat Tyson Fury.
[...]
If the opportunity presented itself, we'd take the fight. It's only a fight at the end of the day—heavyweight champion or not. It's a square ring, one opponent and my job is to beat him, so of course I'm going in there with the same mentality.
"
The 26-year-old is one of the most impressive rising stars in the heavyweight division, and should he maintain his perfect record—14 knockouts in 14 bouts—against White on December 12, Fury may well respond positively to the idea of Joshua as an opponent.
Fury Dismisses David Haye
Monday, Nov. 30
According to Press Association Sport (h/t the Daily Mail), Fury ruled out the possibility of facing David Haye upon his return to boxing and aimed further jibes at the former WBA heavyweight champion as he proclaimed he would sooner face his cousin in the ring. He said:
"Let me put it this way: I would rather make a voluntary defence, for all those titles, against Hughie Fury, than David Haye.
That's saying something, isn't it? Because Hughie is my first cousin.
But I'd rather give Hughie a shot than David Haye. How's that?
Hughie would give me a much better fight than Haye, because at least he'd throw some punches back.
"
Fury and Haye were supposed to fight in 2013, but after the latter twice pulled out of the contest with injury, it never materialised, and Haye has not fought since.
The 27-year-old is adamant he won't face Haye, even if he must vacate a title in order to do so, per David Anderson of the Daily Mirror.
Nevertheless, the pair's long rivalry and ongoing war of words make it difficult to rule out a meeting between them in the future—but only if Haye can prove himself once again over several fights after three years without a match.
Wladimir Klitschko Eyes Fury Rematch
Monday, Nov. 30
Klitschko, who lost to Fury via a unanimous decision on Saturday, has dominated heavyweight boxing for the last decade and understandably is eager for a rematch.
According to Sky Sports, he said: "There will be a rematch. It is still early and I have to process things but there will definitely be a rematch. I was well prepared for this fight but he was quick for his height."
Fury himself welcomed the prospect of facing the Ukrainian once again. Per the Mirror's David Anderson, he said:
"I'm a fighter, so I will take on all challengers. I want to be a great champion. I'd like to do it all again. I came here and took the world titles so whatever happens next is a blessing.
[...]
I'd like to come back to Germany again to fight Wladimir. I've enjoyed it. I got a great reception from the German fans. The German people really did show me some love and I just hope I entertained them.
"
Fans would almost certainly relish a rematch between the two after their thrilling contest in Dusseldorf, in which the Englishman used his superior size and reach to full effect as well as surprising speed and movement.
Klitschko will be 40 in March, though, so for the prolific legend to enjoy a realistic chance of overturning the result, they'll need to meet sooner rather than later or age may finally catch up with him before they can face each other again.
