WWE TLC 2015: Full Card Predictions After Survivor Series

Ryan DilbertNov 23, 2015

WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2015 is poised to fill the hollow feeling Survivor Series left behind with its ladders, chairs and general mayhem.

With just a three-week turnaround between pay-per-views, don't expect loads of new narratives. Roman Reigns will continue his battle with The Authority. Tyler Breeze will look to land a second victory over Dolph Ziggler. And Kevin Owens will have to face a familiar foe, too.

Expect WWE to dress up these rematches with those tables, ladders and chairs. Expect the company's women to make more history.

Analyzing what WWE has foreshadowed, projecting where current story arcs are headed and trying to make sense of the TLC booking puzzle, here's an early look at what the PPV lineup will look like.

Goldust vs. Stardust

1 of 7

Goldust returned on the Survivor Series pre-show to take on his brother in a Traditional Elimination Tag Team match. And with that, WWE solved the issue of what to do with Stardust now that Cesaro appears to be injured.

The Cosmic Wasteland had been stalking Cesaro. What appeared to be a slow-moving rivalry will have to wait, though. Cesaro didn't show up at Survivor Series, and Jim Ross noted that he heard the strongman had hurt his shoulder.

Insert Goldust, and WWE now has a second chance to execute a brother-against-brother narrative.

That's the best use of the now-healthy Goldust. It's also the most intriguing option the company has with Stardust. Expect these two to clash and outdo what they did earlier this year.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose (Intercontinental Championship)

2 of 7

A feud that looked to be in the works before Seth Rollins went down with injury will now resume.

Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens battled in the semifinals of the WWE title tournament. In a bout filled with trash-talking, the intercontinental champion went down. That's likely to lead to Owens' making excuses for the loss and Ambrose proclaiming that he deserves a title shot.

These two collided earlier this month, Owens faking a low blow to score a cheap win. Building on the animosity that began there and the friction created in their showdown at Survivor Series is the obvious route to take.

It would give Ambrose something to do other than be Roman Reigns' sidekick. And it would provide Owens with a high-quality opponent, a move that betters his chances of having a memorable reign.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze

3 of 7

Tyler Breeze vs. Dolph Ziggler II is inevitable. It's rare that WWE moves on from a feud after just one match, unless either man has something bigger in the works. That's not the case for either of these rivals.

Breeze knocked off Ziggler at Survivor Series in a statement win. The usual next move is to give the babyface a chance to redeem himself.

And this was no thrown-together bout. Breeze attacked The Showoff again and again. It would be too short an arc for Prince Pretty to move on already.

With TLC likely hosting their second showdown, chances are Breeze's gimmick will come into play with the stipulation. He may be wielding glitter-covered steel chairs or fur-lined ring steps.

Either way, look for Ziggler and Breeze to follow the lead of Fandango vs. Chris Jericho. After the ballroom dancer defeated Jericho at WrestleMania XXIX, they stepped inside the ring again at Extreme Rules.

The New Day vs. The Usos vs. The Lucha Dragons vs. The Dudley Boyz (TLC)

4 of 7

When WWE brought in The Dudleyz, the company had to be thinking ahead to the TLC pay-per-view. The team's table-centric gimmick makes them a perfect fit for the show.

So count them in on a match involving ladders and broken tables. The crowded tag team title picture assures that they will be surrounded by other squads.

The Lucha Dragons and The Usos teamed up to win at Survivor Series, pinning Big E and forcing the other members of The New Day to retreat.

That's likely a hint of those teams' being in pursuit of the gold moving forward. Those babyface duos have both been among the most spotlighted of late. And cramming them all into a match against the champs would allow The New Day to entertain while whining all the way until TLC about how unfair it is.

The champs don't have one particular set of rivals with whom to engage in a real narrative. WWE will likely settle for having them face the bulk of the tag division instead.

Charlotte vs. Paige (Ladder Match for Divas Championship)

5 of 7

In many ways, 2015 has been about making history in the women's division.

Paige and Charlotte main evented the Raw before Survivor Series with a controversial contract signing. Women have had longer matches than in the past. And at NXT, the women have headlined for the first time ever.

Expect more of this kind of change.

Charlotte forced Paige to tap out on Sunday night. Her issues with Paige are too personal to end with just one match. Upping the stakes and having them collide in a ladder match will build on how physical things got between them at Survivor Series.

Fans may want to see her take on Sasha Banks, but it makes more sense for WWE to save that for a bigger event.

Outlasting Paige in the first women's ladder match on pay-per-view would allow Charlotte to gain a great supply of momentum. That would helps increase the significance of her expected showdown with Banks.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Ryback (United States Championship)

6 of 7

This bout may happen simply due to a lack of options. A roster thinned by injuries leaves Alberto Del Rio with fewer choices for potential challengers.

Randy Orton would have been an interesting option. John Cena is likely to take on the U.S. champ once he returns. Cesaro would have allowed Del Rio and Zeb Colter to play up their selectively xenophobic ways.

For now, though, look for Ryback to get a crack at the gold.

There's nothing going on for The Big Guy. He ended his feud with Kevin Owens in quiet fashion. Still, he's been a steady part of the show, high-profile enough that one can safely pencil him onto the TLC card somewhere.

Ryback's a solid intermediate opponent for Del Rio until he dives into a bigger rivalry.

Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

7 of 7

The thing that was most clear when Survivor Series ended was that a narrative is underway in which Roman Reigns deals with continual struggles and frustrations.

After besting Dean Ambrose, Reigns held the WWE title for just minutes. Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to steal it away.

Reigns should have a rematch coming to him per WWE tradition, but his issues with Triple H mean he'll certainly have to clear some hurdles to get it. But it's coming.

Sheamus and The Game cheated Reigns out of glory. The only direction for Reigns to go from here is to pursue them in search of payback.

Reigns remains the No. 1 babyface right now. And with Sheamus the new heel atop the mountain, their collision is as safe a bet as anything in wrestling.
