Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Michy Batshuayi and Daniele Rugani Rumours
Arsenal could be set to make a move for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi in January—but the Belgian is determined to stay put.
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal will face stiff competition for Batshuayi from Newcastle United as the Magpies seek to reinforce in order to battle the drop, requiring the Gunners to make a January bid.
However, according to French outlet Telefoot (h/t Jamie Anderson of the Daily Star) he said, "Of course my future is here. There is a lot of love, a magnificent stadium, magnificent supporters. I do not think it can be better elsewhere. Sorry, you're still going to see me for some time."

The 22-year-old has 10 goals and three assists to his name in all competitions this season, and as WhoScored.com reveals, he has an instinctive eye for goal that has made him one of the top performers in Ligue 1:
Football writer Matt Spiro believes the youngster has a bright future ahead of him and could even rival Paris Saint-Germain goal machines Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani in the top scorer's stakes this year:
The Gunners are firmly in the title race so far this season but have scored fewer goals than the likes of Everton, West Ham United and archrivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Batshuayi is not yet the finished article, but the promising forward could be a highly useful player in a push for the title.
Unfortunately for Arsenal and his other suitors, Batshuayi is clearly committed to remaining at the Stade Velodrome for the foreseeable future, so at the very least he won't be on the move in January.

The Gunners will be hoping to have better luck with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, who is "frustrated and amenable to a move" after featuring for just two minutes all season with the Bianconeri according to the Telegraph.
BeIN Sports' Matteo Bonetti hailed Juve's capture of the 21-year-old:
Indeed, as the report further notes the youngster was ever-present for Empoli last season and incredibly did not pick up a single yellow card.
Rugani is one of the most promising young defenders in Europe and is only being kept out of the team due to Juve's wealth of talented centre-back options. The Bianconeri are clearly aware of his considerable potential, so regardless of his lack of game time they won't allow him to depart.
At best, the Gunners might be able to land him on a loan deal—which would still be a smart move as the youngster would make an excellent addition to a squad looking to maintain their title challenge.
