World Series of Darts Finals 2015: Saturday Scores, Results, Updated Schedule
Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen swept to the next stage of the 2015 World Series of Darts Finals after easy wins on Saturday night, but world champion Gary Anderson failed to perform and was defeated.
Taylor routed Dave Chisnall 6-1 in the second round of the competition to progress at the Braehead Arena. The legendary darts player strangled his opponent's opportunities in the match, as Chisnall clearly laboured after featuring in the first round in the afternoon session.
Van Gerwen struggled with his game as he dispatched World Grand Prix champion Robert Thornton, but still clocked up an impressive 6-1 scoreline to advance with little resistance.

PDC champion Gary Anderson disappointed the home crowd, as the Flying Scotsman capitulated against Terry Jenkins in the biggest shock of the day. In a final leg contest, Jenkins edged Anderson 6-5 to advance.
There were regulation wins for Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade, Stephen Bunting, Peter Wright and Adrian Lewis.
Drama unfolded in the afternoon matches as Michael Smith was eliminated by Mark Webster in the first round. The Grand Slam of Darts semi-finalist lost 6-4 in the major surprise of the first session.

Saturday Recap
Phil Taylor was in exceptional form at the inaugural World Series of Darts Finals, as he crushed Dave Chisnall 6-1 to book a place in the next round.
Chisnall was forced to feature in the first round earlier in the day, and his game clearly suffered from fatigue against the fresher Taylor.
The Power posted 20 scores of over 100 on the way to victory, per PDC.tv.

Michael van Gerwen was far from his best, but Robert Thornton could not hurt the Dutchman as he scored heavily in a 6-1 win.
Van Gerwen struggled to checkout in the match, but his big scoring kept him well ahead of his opponent.
Gary Anderson was expected to cruise through against Terry Jenkins, as the crowd went wild when he entered the arena. The world champion was soon 3-0 up in the match, but then suffered a crash in his quality, allowing Jenkins to claw his way back.
The game was tied at 5-5, and Anderson simply couldn't move through the gears, opening the door for the rank outsider to beat him. PDC Darts shared Jenkins joy at the win:
Raymond van Barneveld made short work against Mark Webster in their second round match, with the Dutchman advancing 6-2.
Barney posted a three dart average of 96.69 as he cruised past his opponent, hitting two 180's on his way to a simple win.
James Wade showed early signs of exceptional form in his match with Jamie Lewis, sweeping his opponent 6-0.
Wade's average of 103.66 was one of Saturday's best efforts as he played his most consistent darts of the season.

As the giants of darts prepared for the evening games, Michael Smith was shocked in the first round during the afternoon session on Saturday. He fell to a brilliant performance from Webster, who progressed after a solid 6-4 win, only to lose to Van Barneveld in the evening. Thornton took the opportunity of a number of missed doubles from Devon Petersen to claim a 6-3 first round win, while Chisnall narrowly defeated Kyle Anderson 6-4, before running into Taylor.
Former World Championship finalist Simon Whitlock and Ian White also failed to progress in the first round, falling to surprise defeats. Jenkins originally squeezed through to the last 16 with a 6-5 success against Chris Dobey, who was making his televised debut in the sport, before surprisingly slaying Anderson in Saturday's final match.
Taylor was in great shape as he dismantled his opponent on Saturday, and he will want to win the inaugural competition in Scotland.
The Englishman was booed as he walked out to the oche, but took the jeers with good humour as he smiled at the partisan crowd.
Anderson was the big draw as the crowd sang the Scottish national anthem for him, but he played incredibly poorly and struggled late on as Jenkins claimed a huge scalp.
