Nike Air Foamposite One 'Hologram' Release Date, Pics and Retail Price
Nike is set to unleash the latest edition of the Air Foamposite One, "Hologram," this week. Even during the highly competitive holiday season, the shoe figures to emerge as one of the most unique and talked-about releases over the next couple of months.
The foamposite upper shell is almost like a cold-blooded animal. It's going to adapt to different environments because of the holographic design. So the shoe will take on various looks depending on how much light is striking it and the angle from which it's being viewed.
Here's the release information from Sneaker Bar Detroit:
| Wednesday, Nov. 25 | Black, Icy/Translucent and Multicolor | $230 |
The look is aided by the fact the shoe has a dark top and a light sole. Not only does it bring the entire concept together, but it really allows the middle portion to shine. That's always the goal when utilizing something besides pure colors.
Foot Locker EU provided a base picture of the "Hologram":
It showcases how the direction of the light source can impact the look. From that angle, it almost appears there's a massive contrast between the front and back halves of the shoe. There's also a certain radiance to the featured portion.
Sneaker Shouts passed along a couple more angles that show how things can change:
Those shots still have a little contrast, but it's far less than the first picture. And if you directed light toward the back half only, it would get perceived differently again.
The other cool aspect is the multicolor scheme. Again, it's dependent on the light, but when outside on a bright day, the shoes should really pop with a wide spectrum of color.
All told, the Nike Air Foamposite One is a strong design to begin with, and the "Hologram" effect takes it to another level. It's a shoe that can bring some cool variety to a collection evenย when compared to some of the more outlandish sneakers out there.
And given the large number of options out there at this time of year, it's the perfect time to release something that's a bit unusual.
