Real Madrid Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski's Agent Confirms Rumours
Robert Lewandowski's agent has confirmed that Real Madrid are hoping to sign the Bayern Munich striker.
According to Jose Felix Diaz of Marca, Real Madrid have made several approaches for the striker, including last summer, and his agent Cezary Cucharsky said: "You cannot deny that there is interest from Real Madrid."
The Pole has been in simply breathtaking form this season—netting a phenomenal 19 goals in 18 games for Bayern Munich—and has shone for his country, playing a key role in guiding them to the 2016 UEFA European Championship in France next summer, per Squawka Football:

Lewandowski's form puts him firmly in league with the best in world football, and Bundesliga expert Clark Whitney opined earlier in the season that he should be recognised as the best No. 9 around:
Indeed, football journalist Rik Sharma believes Lewandowski is one of the only strikers capable of replacing Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu:
The 27-year-old is a prolific hitman with ruthless finishing skills and great power in the air.
Further, his impressive stature in the footballing community—which has climbed ever higher this season thanks to his exploits—makes him the kind of "Galactico" star Los Blancos love to sign.

Per Diaz, the striker admitted "there has been no contact over the past few months," though that isn't too surprising at this stage.
A player of his quality isn't likely to move during a January transfer window, particularly when he's already plying his trade for a team like Bayern Munich, where yearly silverware is virtually guaranteed.
Diaz has also reported the striker is learning Spanish.
While that could be in a bid to better communicate with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola and team-mates such as Xabi Alonso, Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez, it's more likely he's trying to prepare himself for an eventual move to the Spanish capital, as a grasp of the language will make settling in a much smoother process.
Don't be surprised if Lewandowski trades Munich for Madrid next summer.
