Chelsea Transfer News: Diego Costa Reportedly 'Desperate' to Leave, Top Rumours
Tensions at Chelsea are reaching new heights following reports striker Diego Costa is "desperate" to leave the club and will make his return to Atletico Madrid next year, but Juan Cuadrado may return to his parent club.
Spanish radio station Cadena SER claimed the disgruntled forward is looking for the west London exit after falling out of form this season and suffering a Football Association suspension for violent conduct (h/t Bruce Archer of the Daily Express).

Costa enjoyed a hugely successful maiden campaign with the Blues and scored 21 goals in 37 games across all competitions, but this season's return of three goals in 15 outings has been majorly disappointing.
Despite his aggressive nature, Costa was looked upon as a key Chelsea figure en route to last season's Premier League title. Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney revealed he voted for the Spain international in last term's PFA Player of the Year ballot, per Goal's Alec Fenn:
"I actually voted for Costa as player of the year last season because I thought he was a huge player for Chelsea.
I strongly believe that’s why they became champions.
Obviously it hasn’t gone as well for him as it did last season but I think he is a fantastic player.
He’s a fighter. That’s part of his game and it’s going to be very difficult for anyone to ask him not to do that. I feel that’s in him – that fight.
He thrives on that and that gets his team-mates going as well.
"
Costa's record of 64 goals in 133 appearances for Los Rojiblancos was almost equivalent to a goal every other game and saw him earn a £32 million move to Chelsea last year, but results have slowed of late.
The Brazil-born forward isn't the only player under Jose Mourinho failing to impress, however, and Cesc Fabregas has admitted he and his team-mates are getting used to harsh criticism, per Squawka:
The defending Premier League champions sit 16th in the standings after claiming just 11 points from their first 12 games of the season and losing seven games, the third-most in the English top flight.
Early signs suggested Costa would be as much, or possibly more of a hit than he was in La Liga, but it appears the gloom over west London might have pushed Chelsea's star forward over the edge.

Away from Stamford Bridge, it's been reported Cuadrado, on loan at Juventus, may struggle to complete a permanent transfer to Turin due to a disagreement over his fee.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the alleged £15 million amount set to take the Colombian back to Serie A next summer could be disputed by Juve, who are putting a decision off until a later date (via Metro's Mark Brus).
Gianluca Di Marzio translator David Amoyal recently hailed his impact at the Old Lady:
Cuadrado failed to make much of an impression during his first six months at Chelsea and could be sold after making just 15 appearances for the English giants in all competitions.
The South American winger has resurrected his form to record three assists and one goal in six Serie A starts under Massmiliano Allegri, but Juve want to test the player more before they commit to a purchase.
