Olivier Giroud 'Angry' over Arsenal vs. Tottenham Display, Says Arsene Wenger
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was left seething after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with local rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, as the striker rued missing a handful of big chances to send his side to the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners were second best at the Emirates Stadium for large spells, but they could have easily taken all three points if Giroud hadn't spurned a number of headed opportunities in front of goal.
Several chances came and went for Giroud and Arsenal, and in the end, the Gunners had to rely on a late Kieran Gibbs strike to cancel out Harry Kane’s opener.

Manager Arsene Wenger told reporters that his striker cut a very frustrated figure after the match—via Jack Gaughan of Daily Mail:
"If we were really clinical we would have won it. Giroud had the chances to score. He is very angry. ... When you see a player who is happy to miss chances, you can worry. He is a real goalscorer, and I think he did fight. At Bayern and tonight, Giroud did work extremely hard. He wanted too much to score, especially the opportunity he had in the six-yard box, but it can happen. I accept that.
"
Fans didn’t take Giroud’s close-range miss quite as well as Wenger, though, with Piers Morgan venting his anger over Twitter:
The striker has found the net 11 times this season, via WhoScored.com, and although he spurned chances to land north London bragging rights, the Arsenal performance as a whole is what should really come under the spotlight.
Spurs dominated up until Gibbs’ equaliser, and manager Mauricio Pochettino said his side can feel hard done by not to come away with the win, via Gaughan:
“My feeling is not fair. It’s true we conceded some chances but my feeling is we deserved to win the game. I am very proud of my players and the character we showed, the level we played the game.”
Tottenham are in excellent form at the moment, but it’s safe to say that outplaying Arsenal at the Emirates isn’t exactly something they’ve made a habit of through the years.

The international break comes at a good time for the off-colour Gunners, whose injury list is worryingly piling up.
Theo Walcott is unlikely to return to action before December, according to Daily Telegraph, which means that Giroud will continue to operate as the sole striker as we head toward the Christmas period.
Arsenal fans will hope Giroud’s dressing room anger translates into on-pitch redemption when the Premier League returns.
