Chelsea Transfer News: Javier Hernandez Rumours Emerge, Willian Contract Eyed
Chelsea want former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, who has been in sensational form for new club Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Tom Hopkinson of the Sunday People reported the Blues desire Chicharito in an attempt to boost their forward line, as Diego Costa struggles to get the goals the side need to pull away from the bottom of the Premier League.
The Mexico striker spent last season on loan at Real Madrid after United boss Louis van Gaal decided the player didn't feature in his plans, and he completed his move to Leverkusen in the summer after the Red Devils opted to sell.

The 27-year-old struggled for goals last season, but this year he has thrived once again, proving himself to be one of Europe's top poachers.
Chicharito has 12 goals in 19 appearances for club and country this term, and he would fetch £8.5 million if the Blues try to sign him.
However, Hernandez was unhappy with life on the bench at Old Trafford and the Bernabeu, and a transfer to Stamford Bridge could see him play second fiddle to Costa.
ESPN FC's Tom Marshall highlighted how the player has settled well into his new surroundings after scoring once again in Germany:
Radamel Falcao has been a complete failure since arriving at the Bridge after a spell at United, but The Little Pea has a good record in the Premier League and would understand the demands of English football without prompting.
Willian Offered New Deal
Brazil international Willian will be offered a new deal with Chelsea after maintaining his form as the club slump down the table.
The midfielder has arguably been the Blues' best player during the current campaign, and Hopkinson reported the champions are stepping up their efforts to tie down the player.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly both eyeing Willian, forcing Chelsea's hand, despite the talented attacker being under contract until 2018, per Hopkinson.

Willian is one of the few members of the squad who has not let down manager Jose Mourinho in recent weeks, and his goals and performances have kept the team's head above water at times.
Chelsea are in need of revamping their midfield and attack after a painful few months, despite Willian's efforts, but Chicharito will not offer the Special One what he needs in terms of quality up front.
The player failed at United because he didn't have the tactical game at his disposal to be at a top club, and this was proved at Madrid, where he remained benched.
Chelsea need to find an attacker that can take responsibility off the shoulders of the likes of Eden Hazard and Costa but also show the tactical discipline Mourinho needs at this trying time.
