Cleveland Browns: Week 1 and 2 Report Cards
Grant it both Quinn and Anderson would have struggled against the stellar defensive front of Minnesota. Only that Anderson's arm may have given the Browns a better chance the past two Sundays.
You can not ask for a better defensive effort than what was displayed by Shaun Rodgers and company thus far. Sure, you have to play two halves of football but Quinn lost this team Sunday. The only reason to start Brady was the assertion that he would be nearly turnover free. Weak down field throwing arm and your turnover prone?
Jamal Lewis bailed the Browns' out in the area of silver linings. One hundred yards of total offense in week 1 versus what the media has crowned the best defense in the NFL. Depth at running back has been compromised, Jamal's presence is even more important now.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Give Adrian Peterson credit, if you would of asked him where was he going on his draft day. He would respond with the word Cleveland. That game was personal for him and I dare any Browns' fan to disagree. Sure Joe Thomas is a great Tackle, but we are talking about "All Day" here.
The matchup with the Broncos just validated that Brady Quinn is not NFL material. I don't want to hear "it's only two games"...do not make one excuse for this nonsense.
From holding on to the ball too long, to not utilizing his feet. There is nothing that Quinn provides that allows a fan to experience hope. Ask a Saints fan what it feels like when Drew Brees drops back to throw. Or ask a Falcons fan about Matt Ryan or......oh yeah ask Jets fans about Mark Sanchez.
The Cleveland Browns organization have blown it for a lot of years. Unfortunately until a true leader at quarterback both combined with NFL mental and physical makeup emerges, it is going to get worse.
I was listening to a radio show in Kentucky that featured Tim Couch. He admitted that he did not have a playbook the two years he started at Kentucky. He stated that he had about ten plays or so that included about thirty-five to forty formations.
True Browns fans like myself....it is okay to procede to the I-480 bridge!!!
Grant it the new regime had nothing to with that draft but the ignorance of talent evaluation hasn't changed much.
It is clear to me that this regime is willing to go the cheap route and try to build something successful for the future.
When Mangini and company ventured to USC's pro-day, I'm pretty sure he didn't leave that campus with the thought of "my guys are are better". I'm referring to the comparison of Sanchez and the Browns' current quarterbacks. If by any chance he does believe this falacy, a resignation would be appropriate.
The season is still early, take note that you can't go 3-of-14 on third down conversions and say the defense sucks and lost the game. By a land slide this team is the worst in that category.
