Friday Recap

Kisner maintained his form on Friday at Sheshan, as many of the world's top players stumbled and faltered.
The American posted a second score without carding a single bogey as overnight leader Branden Grace relinquished his slim one-shot advantage from Thursday.
Kisner's putting was metronomic throughout, hitting six birdies to finish 14 under, obtaining top spot on the board.
The European Tour shared Kisner's recovery efforts on the 17th, and his scoring details for the day:
Scotland's Russell Knox was the lowest scoring player of Friday, shooting a seven-under 65 for his second round.
Like Kisner, Knox didn't record a bogey, scoring seven birdies to place two shots behind the leader.
Grace dropped two spots to third on the board after a round of one under damaged his chances. However, he is only four shots behind Kisner, and he will have a chance to rectify the damage in the third round.

McIlroy had appeared to be on the verge of top form on Thursday, but he slipped in the second round, finishing well down the order.
Both McIlroy and Rickie Fowler ended with level-par rounds of 72 for the day, tying them for 26th place with a number of players.
The Northern Irishman was hitting the mark with his approach play, but he struggled with his putting, per the European Tour:
Spieth also had trouble during his efforts, and could only manage a par score.
His game between the 11th and 13th holes derailed his competition, as he shot three bogey putts in a row. The young superstar now lies tied for 27th after two rounds.
Home favourite Haotong Li had the Shanghai crowd excited by his quality, as the Chinese player remained near the top of the leaderboard for a second day.

Li is only five shots off the overall lead after a round of three under maintained his charge.
Kisner has been in control for two days now, and a strong third round will see him storm clear.
However, Knox was close to perfection on Friday, and will push the American all the way in the third round.
The Chinese public will continue to cheer for Li, and if he can repeat his quality of the first two days, he has a solid chance of winning the tournament if others slip.
