Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Both clubs will come into this game desperate for a win—Chelsea in particular.
A 2-1 defeat away at West Ham United last time out compounded the Blues' struggles as they languish well off of the pace in the bottom half of the table.
Salvaging a Champions League finish from this position will be incredibly tough, and losing at home to fellow top-four rivals would leave them six points behind the Reds.
Further, Neil McLeman of the Daily Mirror reports that a defeat could spell the end of Mourinho's second spell in charge of the club. Football writer Jim Boardman has little sympathy for the Special One:
Meanwhile, Liverpool are yet to record their first win under Jurgen Klopp and have won just once in their last nine outings. Three points won't catapult them into the top four just yet, but it would see them take a big step toward doing so.
Both teams have been slack defensively this season, with Squawka Football highlighting Liverpool's poor run:
Likewise, the only teams to have conceded more than Chelsea's 19 this season are Newcastle, Norwich City and Bournemouth.
What will encourage Liverpool is the fact they haven't lost in nine games, and this resilience will stand them in good stead at Stamford Bridge.
Expect both teams to get on the scoresheet as Klopp's winless streak continues and Chelsea wait once again to kickstart their season.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Aston Villa
Spurs' clash with Villa at White Hart Lane takes on added significance following the sacking of Sherwood, as noted in a club statement (via BBC Sport).

The former Tottenham boss was set to face his old club but will now be picking up his P45 as he leaves Villa bottom of the table having lost the last six matches in a row and eight of their 10 games in total.
Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe highlighted the poor decision-making that led to their awful run of form:
As the Daily Telegraph's Jonathan Liew notes, it's no longer Sherwood's win ratio that's so remarkable:
There should be a new face in the dugout against Spurs, and the game being on Monday gives Villa a little more time to bring in their new candidate, who, in turn, could have slightly longer to work with his new team than he otherwise might have.
Even so, he won't have long, and getting a result will be an incredibly tough prospect, as Spurs are on an excellent run.
The Lilywhites are unbeaten since the first day of the season and come into the game on the back of an excellent 5-1 win over Bournemouth.
Main man Harry Kane shook off his goal drought in style with an impressive hat-trick and, with renewed confidence, could well continue his run on Monday.
