Recap
Vardy just can't stop scoring for Leicester City, who continued their surprising march toward a finish in the European spots with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Per Sky Sports, he joined a special group of star forwards who have scored in seven consecutive matches:
After an hour of play, the 28-year-old was put through on goal by Riyad Mahrez, and Vardy calmly clipped the ball over goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey before blasting home. It was an almost casual finish, indicative of the incredible form the top scorer currently finds himself in.
Vardy has now scored nine goals in his last seven matches and 10 this season, four more than Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and Georginio Wijnaldum, who share second place in the top scorers rankings.
After the match, the ace striker seemed almost more delighted about the pizza manager Claudio Ranieri had promised, per the Foxes' official Twitter account:
As reported by Sky Sports, Ranieri told his layers he would buy them pizza if they kept a clean sheet. He told the same source he intends to live up to that promise:
In north London, Giroud scored the opening goal after a lovely cross from Mesut Ozil to take his tally to five goals in his last four appearances, counting international duty and the Champions League win over Bayern Munich.
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard didn't look particularly well on either of the two goals, but Giroud deserves full credit for recognising the early cross and positioning himself to push the ball past the goalkeeper with his head.
Matt Spiro of beIN Sports is happy to see the striker finding his best form again:
Giroud has looked off his game at times this season, but he put together a marvelous performance on Saturday, both on and off the ball. The France international worked hard and always seemed to be in the right position, and he could have had a second in the second half but found the crossbar with a powerful drive.
Laurent Koscielny scored Arsenal's second goal just minutes later thanks to another howler from Howard, and Ross Barkley scored the final goal of the match just before half-time.

It was a quiet day for the rest of the league's in-form scorers. Dimitri Payet couldn't find the net for West Ham United, but he won't care one bit after the Hammers beat Chelsea 2-1. Mauro Zarate, who replaced Victor Moses, opened the scoring, and Andy Carroll provided a late winner, cancelling out Gary Cahill's equaliser.
Odion Ighalo also found himself on the winning end on Saturday, with Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi taking care of the goals in Watford's 2-0 win over Stoke City.
Andre Ayew did find the net for his fifth goal of the season, tying a host of players for a share of fifth place in the top scorers rankings. With minutes left to play, he scored the winner against Aston Villa, a goal that could mean the end of Tim Sherwood's tenure as Villa manager, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:
Graziano Pelle will have the chance to rise up the rankings on Sunday, when Southampton visit Anfield to take on Liverpool. Meanwhile, Manchester City will take on rivals Manchester United in the derby, with Sergio Aguero still sidelined due to injury.
