Ryan Giggs, Luis Figo, Ronaldinho and More Named in UNICEF Charity Match Teams
The star-studded lineups have been revealed for UNICEF's upcoming Match for Children, with the likes of Ryan Giggs, Luis Figo and Ronaldinho set to feature. The match will see a Great Britain and Ireland team captained by David Beckham take on a Rest of the World XI led by Zinedine Zidane at Old Trafford, with more names still to be added, per Gemma Thompson on United's official website.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti will be in the respective dugouts and—fittingly, given the venue for the match—a number of former Manchester United greats are among the lineups. Edwin van der Sar, Paul Scholes, Andy Cole and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are just some of the Red Devils legends named thus far.

Star-Studded World Cup Ad 🤩
There will be plenty more of the world's biggest former stars on show, as World Cup winners Cafu, Fabio Cannavaro and old United enemy Patrick Vieira are also due to play.
Here are the players who have been announced so far, per Sky News' Tom Boadle:
As noted by the Press Association (h/t the Daily Mail), Rio Ferdinand will line up alongside former England team-mates John Terry and Ashley Cole. Ferdinand had a high-profile falling out with the former, after the Chelsea defender was banned for four matches by the FA for "using abusive language towards Ferdinand's brother Anton."
Hopefully, the trio will at least be able to put their pasts behind them for the duration of the charity match, which seems likely since they have agreed to take part.
Beckham has been helping UNICEF in its philanthropic efforts for the last 10 years, and the former England captain helped organise the charity match by playing a key role in tempting Ferguson briefly out of retirement to manage the Great Britain and Ireland team, though he admitted the Scot needed little persuading.
According to the MailOnline's Mike Keegan, he said:
"I still have a couple of contacts at the club, the manager personally I spoke to. The manager has always helped with these things.
Pierluigi Collina is refereeing so I don't know how much he will want to shout at him. But I know Sir Alex will be excited about it.
It's for a great cause and I am sure each time he is in the stadium, he wants to be down there on the touchline, shouting at players and referees.
"
With so many stars taking part, the match is sure to be a thoroughly entertaining affair, as is the prospect of seeing Ferguson manage Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.
Encouragingly, according to Thompson, the game—which takes place at 3 p.m. GMT on Saturday, November 14—has sold out its ticket allocation, with proceeds helping UNICEF fund its charitable projects to help children around the globe.
