Recap

Anderlecht's young squad overcame a sloppy start to grab a 2-1 win over Spurs in Brussels, blowing Group J wide open in the process.

The Belgian side gifted Christian Eriksen the opener with some comical defending and could have conceded more in the first 10 minutes, but they soon started to find their rhythm and equalised through Guillaume Gillet.

The introduction of winger Frank Acheampong made the difference in the second half, as the Ghanaian youngster found plenty of space out wide and was a constant menace to the Tottenham defence.

Spurs blogger Chris Miller was impressed:

Within minutes of entering the pitch, Acheampong would deliver a perfect cross to Stefano Okaka, who converted from close range to put the final score on the board.

While it was a fantastic win for the Belgians, it was yet another disappointing outing for an English club in Europe.

Bleacher Report UK put it this way:

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was far from satisfied with the performance, per the club's official Twitter account:

With Monaco beating Qarabag thanks to a second-half goal from Lacina Traore, Group J seems to be wide open after three matchdays. The French outfit lead by five points, followed by Spurs and Anderlecht on four. Monaco face a difficult trip to Qarabag next, while Tottenham will host Anderlecht on Matchday 4.

Aubameyang continued his superb form with a hat-trick in Dortmund's uneventful win over Qabala, taking his record for the 2015-16 campaign to an impressive level, per Squawka:

The hosts more than held their own against the Bundesliga giants and had plenty of chances in the first half, but Dortmund proved to be the more clinical side. Aubameyang scored twice in seven minutes to give the Germans a comfortable lead heading into half-time, and they were never truly troubled from that point on.

Jurgen Klopp's Anfield debut as Liverpool manager didn't go as planned, as the Reds couldn't find a late winner and instead played out a 1-1 draw with Rubin Kazan.

The Reds suffered a quick deficit when Marko Devic opened the score after just 15 minutes, but Klopp's men pulled it back through Emre Can. Despite dominating the second half, the Premier League giants failed to beat goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov a second time.

Lazio managed to beat Rosenborg 3-1 despite playing the bulk of their match with ten men after Mauricio saw a straight red card in the sixth minute.

As shared by Infostrada Sports, the defender seems to have an issue with discipline:

Alessandro Matri opened the score and Felipe Anderson made it 2-0, as Lazio did well to keep Rosenborg at bay in midfield despite being down a man.

Alexander Soderlund brought his side back within one, but Antonio Candreva restored the lead in two tries, failing from the penalty spot but slotting home the rebound.

Soderlund could have returned hope to his team-mates but also missed from 11 yards out, and the Italians stood firm to grab a 3-1 win and the lead in Group G. In the group's other match, Ligue 1 outfit Saint-Etienne beat Dnipro 1-0 in Ukraine.

Sporting Lisbon cruised to a 5-1 win over Skenderbeu, scoring all five of their goals after Hamdi Salihi was dismissed for a second bookable offence, and Sparta Prague shockingly held hosts Schalke 04 to a 2-2 draw at the Veltins-Arena.
